Dynamic creation of interactive user device pools
Systems implement a software platform that creates dynamic user device pools that facilitate in-person engagement between and among platform users as well as the participation in local events and activities. The system includes a profile server that communicates with one or more user computing devices, such as smartphones. The provider server determines a pool area that can be predefined or determined based on a geometric area surrounding a user computing device. The provider server determines the user devices within the pool area and obtains profile data associated with the user devices where the profile data represents information personal to the platform users. The provider server applies user relationship information and privacy settings to filter the profile data before transmitting the profile data to user computing devices for display. Platform users communicate with other users in the pool area according to permissions settings that safely limit the types of permissible communications.

Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method, and/or computer program product embodiments for tracking proximities of devices and/or objects. In one embodiment, the system operates by determining whether a plurality of devices of a tethered segment are inside or outside a predefined area. The system also operates by determining that a first device of the plurality of devices is outside of the predefined area based at least partially on the determination of whether the plurality of devices are inside or outside the predefined area. The system further operates by transmitting at least one alert notification to at least one device based at least partially on the determination that the first device is outside the predefined area, wherein the alert notification identifies the first device outside the predefined area.
Systems and methods for optimizing message notification timing based on electronic content consumption associated with a geographic location
Systems and methods are provided for timing message notifications to be provided to mobile device users based on their geographic locations with respect to geographic areas associated with a threshold level of content consumption. The timing of message notifications may be controlled in order to optimize the chances of delivering targeted content to a mobile device user based on the current geographic location of the user's device relative to a threshold level of content consumption area. As mobile device users may be more likely to launch a client application in a place where other users are currently consuming content, a general message notification sent to the user's device located in a geographic area associated with a threshold level of content consumption, may increase the likelihood that the user will launch the client application and thereby, allow targeted content to be delivered to the user's mobile device.

The present disclosure includes receiving, by a server (1), experience information via a telecommunications network (3) from each of terminals (3) carried by respective users (A to E), the experience information being information regarding an experience desired by each of the users; extracting, in the server, two or more users to generate a single community for the experience information of the two or more users, the two or more users transmitting the experience information having a similarity level not less than a predetermined threshold; extracting, in the server, a destination (5) associated with the experience information having the similarity level not lower than the predetermined threshold using a database (17) configured to preliminarily store the experience information and the destination in association with each other; and transmitting the destination from the server via the telecommunications network to the terminals carried by the two or more users who constitute the single community.

A method of sorting and displaying data on a portable electronic device includes: determining geographical coordinates of the portable electronic device, providing search criteria to the portable electronic device, performing a search in a database based on the search criteria resulting in a list of database records, determining a search area of the portable electronic device and displaying selected records from the list of database records on a display screen of the portable electronic device. Each of the selected records is located within a search radius, which originates at the geographical coordinates of the portable electronic device, and within the search area, which is determined based on a pointing direction of the portable electronic device.

One variation of a method for assisting execution of manual protocols at production equipment includes: identifying a site occupied by a mobile device based on a geospatial location of a device; identifying a space within the building occupied by the device based on identifiers of a set of wireless access points wirelessly accessible to the device and known locations of wireless access points within the building; loading a protocol associated with an equipment unit in the space; calculating a position of the device within the space based on positions optical features, detected in a field of view of an optical sensor at the device, relative to reference features represented in a space model of the space; and, when the position of the device falls within a threshold distance of a reference location proximal the equipment unit defined in a step of the procedure, rendering guidance for the step.
MOBILE DEVICE COMMUNICATION WITHOUT NETWORK CONNECTION
The present invention utilizes a method of using WIFI transmitters and mobile devices to communicate with a multitude of personal mobile devices in large crowded areas where network congestion would otherwise prevent the communication to the attendees, such as a concert event. The method teaches utilizing stationary WIFI emitters and the WIFI transmission capability of mobile devices to disseminate communications in the form of encoded instructions in a SSID to the event attendees.

In some embodiments, the system comprising a mobile delivery device comprising a vector calculation module configured to determine a motion vector associated with the mobile delivery device, a geo-location module configured to determine a geo-location associated with a mobile delivery device, and a geo-fence database configured to determine a size of at least one geo-fence associated with at least one location and determine whether the mobile delivery device is within the geo-fence. In some embodiments, the size of the geo-fence is determined at least in part on the motion vector determined by the vector calculation module.
