Wireless network association and authentication system

A wireless network association and authentication system includes an access point that is coupled to an authentication server via a first wireless network. The access point receives, from a first user device that associates with the access point, a first request for access to a second wireless network provided by the access point that is coupled to a wide area network through the first wireless network. The first request includes first authentication information. The access point provides the first request that includes the first authentication information to the authentication server via the first wireless network and receives a first authentication response from the authentication server via the first wireless network. In response to the first authentication response indicating that the first user device is authenticated, the access point provides the first user device access to the second wireless network.

A method for detection of road markings comprises identifying image data including lane markings associated with a road segment, defining a plurality of subsections for the road segment, identifying boundary recognition observations for the lane markings from the image data corresponding to the at least one of the plurality of subsections for the road segments, calculating one or more clusters for the boundary recognition observations according to color or intensity, and outputting a lane marking indicator indicating the color or the intensity, for the at least one of the plurality of subsections for the road segments, in response to the one or more clusters.

In accordance with one or more embodiments described herein, a method is provided. The method includes receiving a request to assume control of a vehicle generated by a candidate operator via a first communication pathway. The method obtains a key from an onboard controller of the vehicle and communicates the key to the candidate operator via a second communication pathway that is different from the first communication pathway. The method determines the candidate operator to be a confirmed operator based at least in part on obtaining the key from the candidate operator via the first communication pathway.

The method further includes detecting a grid event that changes the first cost for the charging entity. The method yet further includes generating a revised reservation for the electric vehicle. The method includes generating an initial compensation offer based on the estimated time of arrival and the arrival state of charge. The method also includes providing the revised reservation and the initial compensation offer to a user. The method further includes updating the initial reservation to the revised reservation in response to receiving a confirmation from the user.

The method includes generating an initial reservation for the user at the first place and the first time. The initial reservation is associated with a first cost for the charging entity. The method includes providing the user with the user benefit in response to the user selecting the flexible charger option. The method includes detecting a grid event that changes the first cost for the charging entity. The method includes generating a revised reservation for the electric vehicle associated with a second cost for the charging entity that is less than the first cost.

Method and apparatus for perception-sharing between vehicles

A method for perception-sharing between similarly-situated vehicles that are traveling on a portion of a roadway that is equipped with an intelligent vehicle highway system is described, and includes executing, in a multi-access edge computing cluster in communication with a roadside unit disposed to monitor a roadway, an application-layer routine. The application-layer routine includes collecting real-time data associated with a plurality of objects from each of the similarly-situated vehicles, predicting motion of each of the plurality of objects based upon the real-time data, object-matching the motion of each of the plurality of objects, and executing fusion of the plurality of objects based upon the object-matching of the motion of each of the plurality of objects. Locations of the similarly-situated vehicles traveling on the roadway are identified based upon the fusion of the plurality of objects. The locations are communicated to one of the similarly-situated vehicles.

Method and apparatus for perception-sharing between vehicles

A method for perception-sharing between similarly-situated vehicles that are traveling on a portion of a roadway that is equipped with an intelligent vehicle highway system is described, and includes executing, in a multi-access edge computing cluster in communication with a roadside unit disposed to monitor a roadway, an application-layer routine.
