METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING POLICY OF USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20220386100 · 2022-12-01 ·

Provided are a method and apparatus for providing a policy of a user equipment in a wireless communication system, and an operating method of a visited-policy control function (V-PCF) of a visited public land mobile network (PLMN) providing a policy for processing traffic of a user equipment in a wireless communication system, the operating method includes: transmitting an indicator requesting transmission or allowance of transmission of a visited user equipment route selection policy (V-URSP) of the V-PCF to a home-policy control function (H-PCF) of a home PLMN; receiving, from the H-PCF, an indicator indicating whether transmission of the V-URSP of the V-PCF is allowed; and receiving a home user equipment route selection policy (H-URSP) from the H-PCF.

DEVICE AUTHENTICATION VERIFICATION FOR DEVICE REGISTRATION
20220386099 · 2022-12-01 ·

A subscriber information entity of a home wireless carrier network may receive an authentication request for a user device from a network element of a partner wireless carrier network. The authentication request may include a network element identifier of the network element. An authentication response for the authentication request is then sent to the network element of the partner wireless carrier network. Further, the network element identifier of the network element is stored in a subscriber profile for the user device. A registration request for the user device is then received from a particular network element of a wireless carrier network, in which the registration request includes a corresponding network element identifier of the particular network element. A registration response to the particular network element of the wireless carrier network may be sent when the corresponding network element identifier matches the network element identifier.

Cellular telecommunications network

This disclosure invention relates to a method of operating a network node in a cellular telecommunications network, wherein the cellular telecommunications network further includes a first base station and a first User Equipment (UE), and the first UE is connected to the first base station by a first and second connection having resources associated with a first and second subscription, respectively, the method including determining that the first connection and second connection relate to the first and second subscription respectively; determining that the first connection and second connection relate to the first UE; monitoring a first resource usage of one or both of the first and second connections with the first UE; and initiating a handover of one or both of the first and second connections based on the first resource usage.

SLICE INFORMATION UPDATE METHOD AND APPARATUS

This application provides a slice information update method and an apparatus. The method includes: when determining that a network slice that was once not supported by a PLMN is updated to be supported by the PLMN, sending, by a network slice selection network element, a notification message to a communications network element, where the notification message is used to indicate that the PLMN supports the network slice; and notifying, by the communications network element, a terminal that failed to request the network slice and has subscribed to the network slice that the PLMN currently supports the network slice. In this way, the corresponding terminal learns that the PLMN currently supports the network slice.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANUAL MODE SEARCH FOLLOWING A DISASTER CONDITION

The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for providing services efficiently in a wireless communication network, following a disaster condition. According to various embodiments, a method performed by a user equipment (UE) connected to at least one public land mobile network (PLMN), the method comprising: identifying that a disaster condition is applied to the at least one PMLN; determining one or more PLMN among at least one available PLMN, and one or more registration type supported by the determined one or more PLMN, wherein the one or more registration type include information on a normal registration or information on a disaster roaming registration; and triggering a registration procedure based on the determined one or more registration type.

Trigger management for roaming calls in IMS networks

An IP Multimedia Subsystem Service Control Point (IMS-SCP) module of a carrier network may provide trigger management for a request for a circuit switched (CS) call. For example, an IMS-SCP module may receive an request for a CS call associated with a user equipment. The IMS-SCP module may determine handling of the request for the CS call includes one or more first operations by a first feature platform and one or more second operations by a second feature platform. In response to the determining, the IMS-SCP module may perform trigger management associated with the request for the CS call. The trigger management may include invoking, by the IMS-SCP module, the one or more first operations of the first feature platform and, subsequent to the invoking the one or more first operations, invoking the one or more second operations of the second feature platform.
