Systems and methods are provided for maintaining connectivity with an eSIM device in a wireless network. For example, a probe signal can be initiated to determine the active profile of the eSIM device and compare the active profile of the eSIM device with the current information available in a data store. One or more data stores may be updated to reflect the active profile of the eSIM device. A method performed by a Radio Access Management Function (RAMF) for handling connectivity to a data network is disclosed. The RAMF receives, from a UE, a request associated with connectivity to the data network for an application having a subscription ID. The RAMF selects, based on at least a part of the subscription ID, which Session Management Function the request should be forwarded to, and forwards the request to the selected Session Management Function.

A method of updating embedded universal integrated circuit cards (eUICCs) on wireless communication devices. The method comprises reviewing transactions associated with eUICCs on wireless communication devices by each of a plurality of mobile network operators (MNOs), based at least in part on reviewing the transactions by the MNOs, assigning each of the MNOs to one of a first tier, a second tier, and a third tier, receiving a eUICC transaction by an eUICC updating application executing on a computer from an MNO, determining by the eUICC updating application a tier the MNO is assigned to, and sending the eUICC transaction by the eUICC updating application to a wireless communication device subject to restrictions associated with the tier to which the MNO is assigned, whereby eUICC updating transactions of MNOs are restricted based on MNO tier assignments.

There is provided mechanisms for remote provisioning of a SIM profile to a subscriber entity. A method is performed by a remote SIM provisioning server. The method comprises obtaining a request from an MNO entity for generation of the SIM profile. The method comprises generating the SIM profile. The method comprises providing, to a storage entity, a key-value pair of the SIM profile. The key-value pair comprises a unique identifier comprising at least one profile specific element of the SIM profile as key and binding information of the at least one profile specific element as value. The unique identifier comprising at least one profile specific element of the SIM profile is represented by profile/subscription unique data elements for the SIM profile. The binding information of the at least one profile specific element is represented by an BID of the subscriber entity, ICCID of the SIM profile, IMSI, and an MNO identifier. The method comprises providing, to the subscriber entity requesting download of the SIM profile, the SIM profile.

There is provided mechanisms for remote provisioning of a SIM profile to a subscriber entity. A method is performed by a remote SIM provisioning server. The method includes obtaining a request from an MNO entity for generation of the SIM profile. The method includes generating the SIM profile. The method includes providing, to a storage entity, a key-value pair of the SIM profile. The key-value pair includes a unique identifier including at least one profile specific element of the SIM profile as key and binding information of the at least one profile specific element as value. The unique identifier including at least one profile specific element of the SIM profile is represented by an ICCID of the SIM profile. The binding information of the at least one profile specific element is represented by an EID and profile/subscription unique data elements for the SIM profile.

A method for sending MDT information, is implemented in a terminal, wherein a plurality of SIM cards are arranged in the terminal, the method includes: determining first MDT information stored in SIM cards other than a first SIM card among the plurality of SIM cards and/or a memory of the terminal, before the first SIM card establishes an RRC connection with a base station; and sending, by the terminal, the first MDT information to the base station.
