Apparatus and method for initial access in wireless communication system
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method, device and apparatus for initial access, wherein a method for initial access includes: receiving a first configuration message; and establishing a connection between a relay node and an anchor node, based on the first configuration message. The method provided in this disclosure establishes a connection between the relay node and a central unit of the anchor node through the information interaction between base stations and the information interaction between base station and relay node. The present disclosure provides a scheduling method and a first node. The method includes: receiving second scheduling related information reported by at least one second node and first scheduling related information reported by at least one UE that is connected to the at least one second node; generating scheduling information used by the at least one second node for scheduling the connected UE; and transmitting the generated scheduling information to the at least one second node and/or the connected UE. A corresponding second node, third node, and computer readable medium are also provided.
Configuring an SDR capable user equipment
In a method for configuring a Software Defined Radio (SDR) capable user equipment, the SDR capable user equipment wirelessly loads an SDR program from a radio access network. The SDR capable user equipment executes the loaded SDR program, the SDR program on execution configuring the SDR capable user equipment to support a desired wireless communication technology. The SDR capable user equipment loads the SDR program using a dedicated SDR configuration channel, the dedicated SDR configuration channel being disjoint with any communication channel defined by the desired wireless communication technology. The SDR capable user equipment scans a predetermined frequency spectrum searching a broadcasted beacon. The SDR capable user equipment receives the broadcasted beacon and tunes to the dedicated SDR configuration channel or a subchannel thereof pointed to by a pointer for loading the SDR program.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSFERRING WIRELESS TRANSMIT/RECEIVE UNIT CAPABILITY INFORMATION
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a method for use by the WTRU are disclosed. The method includes transmitting, over an interface, to a controlling node a request for wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) information, and receiving, over the interface, the WTRU information including WTRU capabilities information in response to the request, wherein the WTRU capabilities information indicates time intervals associated with numerations for shared channel allocation usage by the WTRU. A control node is also disclosed where the control note includes a processor and interface for receiving, over the interface, from a base station a request for WTRU information, and transmitting, over the interface, the WTRU information including WTRU capabilities information in response to the request, wherein the WTRU capabilities information indicates time intervals associated with numerations for shared channel allocation usage by the WTRU.
UPGRADABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR UPGRADING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An upgradable electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes: a first communication unit receiving data for upgrade from outside the electronic device; and a main controller receiving the data from the first communication unit to retransmit the data or to perform a predetermined function using the data, wherein the first communication unit divides the data into multiple data segments and transmits n (n being a natural number greater than or equal to 2) data segments to the main controller before the first communication unit receives a receipt acknowledgment signal from the main controller.
Method and apparatus for reporting UE capability of terminal in next-generation mobile communication system
A communication technique for merging, with internet of things (IoT) technology, a fifth generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate, subsequent to a fourth generation (4G) system, and a system thereof are provided. The disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail, security and safety-related services, and the like), based on a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. A method for reporting user equipment (UE) capability of a terminal and a device thereof are provided.
SIM-BASED UPDATE MANAGEMENT
Systems and methods are provided for managing updates to user devices, and in particular, SIM-based OTA updates. In some cases, SIMOTA updates need to be made while a user device has a cellular connection (e.g., 4G/LTE, 5G). As such, an instruction is transmitted to the user devices that need a SIM-based update but that currently have a non-cellular connection. The instruction is for the user devices to deregister from the non-cellular connection and to reregister using a cellular connection. An indication is received that at least a portion of those user devices now currently have a cellular connection. The SIM-based updates are then transmitted to those user devices.
Neural network configuration for wireless communication system assistance
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for communicating capability information (e.g., regarding neural network blocks supported by a user equipment (UE) and a base station). A base station may configure one or more neural network block parameters, and may transmit the neural network block parameters to the UE. The UE may configure or reconfigure a neural network block according to the neural network block parameters, and may process one or more signals, e.g., baseband signals, generated by the UE using the neural network block and the neural network block parameters.
Systems and methods for delivering radio applications to reconfigurable radio equipment
Methods, systems, and storage media for delivering radio applications to reconfigurable radio equipment (RE) for installation and implementation are described. In embodiments, an RE may transmit a request for a radio application (RA) to a RadioApp Store. The RE may receive the requested RA from the RadioApp Store when the RA is verified as being compatible with the RE and when implementation of the RA by the RE is authorized by a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) associated with the RE and/or the RA. The RE may install the RA when the DoC authorizes installation of the RA based on one or more other RAs implemented by the RE. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Communication method, network device, and terminal device
Embodiments of the present application provide a communication method, a network device, and a terminal device. The method comprises: the network device determines configuration information for power saving of the terminal device according to characteristic information of the terminal device; the network device sends the configuration information to the terminal device.
