COMMUNICATION RELATED TO CONFIGURATION UPDATE
One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for performing, by relay UE, communication related to a configuration update. The method comprises the steps of: receiving, from a network node, a configuration update command message including information requesting to perform a registration procedure; and transmitting, to the network node, a response message to the configuration update command message, wherein the response message includes information requesting to maintain a NAS signaling connection between the relay UE and the network node.
Methods and systems for a self-provisioning device
In an aspect, the present disclosure includes a method, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium for wireless communications for initiating, by a provisioning system, a provisioning procedure to configure and update a device that initiates an initial connection to a wireless network based on a unique identifier of the device; and establishing, by the provisioning system, a secure socket with the device based on the provisioning procedure.
Selection of user plane functions and handover of subscriber sessions
A telecommunication network associated with a wireless telecommunication provider can be configured to select user-plane functions (UPFs) for a user equipment (UE) in a network, and the handover of subscriber sessions. According to some configurations, a nearest UPF to the UE can be picked to service the UE. Choosing the nearest UPF may reduce latency to the UE when sending and receiving packets through a cellular network, such as a 5G network. Subscriber sessions can be handed over across multiple UPFs based on mobility of the UE. Subscriber sessions may be anchored on UPFs located either on edge locations or centralized data centers. Because of mobility of subscribers from a first location (e.g., x) to a second location (e.g., y), a subscriber's session can be moved from one user plane node to another user plane node seamlessly.
Electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) management platform
A method of provisioning an electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) to a wireless communication device. The method comprises provisioning an eSIM profile into an eSIM of a virtual eSIM provisioning platform provided by a computer system and where the eSIM profile comprises wireless communication service provider data and wireless communication service subscriber data, partitioning by an eSIM provisioning application a process of writing the eSIM profile to an eSIM of a wireless communication device into a plurality of messages, whereby the complexity of provisioning the eSIM profile to the eSIM of the wireless communication device is handled by the intelligence of the eSIM provisioning application, establishing wireless communication by the eSIM provisioning application with a wireless communication device having an eSIM, and sending the messages by the eSIM provisioning application to the eSIM of the wireless communication device.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MITIGATING REDUCED COMPLEXITY FEATURES IMPACT ON POSITIONING PERFORMANCE
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for positioning support are provided. One method may include receiving, by a UE configured with power saving feature(s), positioning performance requirements for a positioning session. The method may also include estimating an impact of one or more power saving or reduced capability features on positioning measurements associated with the positioning session and, based on the accuracy and latency requirements and the estimated impact, determining the power saving or reduced capability features that the UE can implement while still achieving the accuracy and latency requirements for the positioning session. The method may then include signaling, to a network node, information on the determined power saving or reduced capability features that the UE can implement while still achieving the required accuracy and latency requirements for the positioning session.
Method and apparatus for setting profile
A method and apparatus for setting profiles are provided. The profile setting method includes receiving, from a first terminal, a profile transfer request message that requests transfer of a first profile or portion thereof from a first secure element to a second secure element; configuring a second profile using the first profile or portion thereof; and sending, to a second terminal, the configured second profile.
Implementation and communication methods, apparatus and system of virtual subscriber identity module
The present invention provides implementation and communication methods, an apparatus and a system of a virtual subscriber identity module. The implementation method includes: receiving a VSIM application request sent by a terminal, where the VSIM application request carries an identifier of a VSIM desired by the terminal; obtaining corresponding VSIM installation information according to the identifier of the desired VSIM; and sending the VSIM installation information to the terminal, so that the terminal installs the VSIM according to the VSIM installation information. The embodiments of the present invention effectively solve a problem where an existing mobile operator network does not support the VSIM, and provide an effective and convenient operation scheme for an existing domestic or international roaming service.
Method and device for determining and sending policy
The present disclosure provides a method and a device for determining and sending a policy, and provides a specific method for a terminal device to use a user equipment (UE) policy. Said method includes: a terminal device determining, according to first information, a UE policy used by the terminal device, the first information including at least one piece of the following information: an area where the terminal device is located, a public land mobile network (PLMN) identity (ID) corresponding to the network in which the terminal device is registered or resides, and a usage duration of the UE policy.
First radio access technology (RAT) channel state feedback (CSF) to increase accuracy of interference estimates from second RAT neighbor cells with dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS)
A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station, a message including at least one reporting configuration and resource configuration for a number of channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resource patterns associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). Each of the configured CSI-IM resource patterns corresponds to a time and frequency location in a resource block of a neighbor cell associated with a second RAT. The UE transmits one or more CSI reports based on the reporting configuration(s) and the resource configuration(s).
Notification for account management
A server operated by a service provider may enable a user to upgrade and/or purchase one or more service plans associated with a user account and provided by the service provider. The service plan may include access to one or more third-party services that provide content accessible via applications. The service provider may inform a notification service that operates a device management platform that the user account is permitted access to the content provider. The notification service may send a message to the user device including an indication that the user device now has access to the content provider and/or a selectable option to install an application associated with the content provider.
