For example, geofence data embedded in a geofence based QR code defines the boundary of the geographic region in which the QR codes may be accessed. When a geofence based QR code is scanned, the geofence data is extracted and compared to a current geographic location of the client device used to scan the geofence based QR code, if the location of the client device is within the geographic boundary defined by the geofence, the digital content item associated with the geofence based QR code is presented on the display of the client device. Alternatively, the digital content item is not presented if the location of the client device is not within the geographic boundary.

A communication apparatus includes a first notification unit, a second notification unit, a reception unit, and a sharing unit. The first notification unit provides first information containing information unique to the communication apparatus and information on a predetermined channel for use in sharing a communication parameter for wireless communication with a different communication apparatus. The second notification unit provides second information containing the information unique to the communication apparatus but not containing information on the predetermined channel. When the first information is provided, the reception unit waits to receive a predetermined signal containing information corresponding to the information unique to the communication apparatus without shifting to another channel. When the second information is provided, the reception unit waits to receive the predetermined signal using a plurality of channels. When the predetermined signal is provided, the sharing unit shares the communication parameter with the different communication apparatus.

A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by an access control server, an authentication request message comprising a credential or a token from an access device, after the access device receives the credential or the token from a portable device of a user. The method also includes responsive to receiving the authentication request message, transmitting, by the access control server, a challenge message to a user device associated with the user; generating, by the access control server, an authentication indicator. The method also includes transmitting, by the access control server, an authentication response message including the authentication indicator to the access device.

Confirming authenticity of a user to a third-party system

A telecommunications network server system provides a digital identifier to a user device. The digital identifier may include identification data corresponding to a user of the user device. In addition, the telecommunications network server system receives, from one or more third-party systems, requests to authenticate the user for an electronic transaction with the respective third-party system. The telecommunications network server system provides a unique electronic transaction code to each third-party system. Responsive to receiving from the user device one of the unique electronic transaction codes, the telecommunications network server system provides, to the respective third-party system, authentication of the user.

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a user to use a trusted device to provide sensitive information to an identity provider via QR (Quick Response) code for the identity provider to broker a website login or to collect information for the website. A user may securely transact with the website from unsecured devices by entering sensitive information into the trusted device. The identity provider may generate the QR code for display by the website on an unsecured device. A user running an application from the identity provider on the trusted device may scan the QR code to transmit the QR code to the identity provider. The identity provider may validate the QR code and may receive credential information to authenticate the user or may collect information for the website. Advantageously, the user may perform a safe login to the website from untrusted devices using the trusted device.

Methods and systems for decoding custom, encrypted image data are disclosed herein. An example system includes a server including a set of data corresponding to one or more objects, and a device communicatively coupled with the server. The device may be configured to capture image data featuring a customized image associated with an object of the one or more objects, and decode an encrypted payload associated with the image data. The encrypted payload may be encoded in the image data pursuant to a non-standardized format. The device may also decrypt the encrypted payload, and transmit the decrypted payload to the server to obtain data corresponding to the object.

The reference signal generating section generates a first reference signal to enable a communicating party to estimate a propagation environment. The propagation estimating section estimates a first propagation estimation value of the propagation environment using a second reference signal transmitted from the communicating party. The first data acquiring section generates first data using the first propagation estimation value. The decoding section decodes a transmission signal encoded using a second propagation estimation value that is estimated by the communicating party using the first reference signal, to obtain second data using the first data.
