Efficient usage of resources in an uplink split bearer configuration
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) capable of establishing a split bearer involving at least primary and secondary radio link control (RLC) entities. The techniques generally include deciding, based on one or more conditions, whether to submit a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) protocol data unit (PDU) to the primary RLC entity or the secondary RLC entity according to one or more rules and submitting the PDCP PDU to at least one of the primary or secondary RLC entities in accordance with the decision.
METHOD FOR PRESERVING A DATA TRANSMISSION RATE OF A TERMINAL IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
A method for preserving a transmission rate of second data transmitted by a first terminal destined for a second terminal attached to at least one access device in a communications network. A communications network node capable of routing the second data identifies an inability of the at least one access device to send first data received from the first terminal to the second terminal, processes the first data received from the first terminal during the identified period of inability of the at least one access device, and transmits to the first terminal a notification indicating that the first stored data is not subject to congestion.
Communication control device, communication control method, and computer readable medium
Deterioration of the quality of service at an application level is minimized by performing communication control only when the density of mobile objects (11) in a management network is high. A communication control device (100) is installed in each of mobile objects (11) that acquire content data (141) from a content server (14). The mobile objects (11) constitute a management network for communicating with each other. A management unit (110) determines whether communication control when acquiring the content data (141) is to be performed, based on the density of the mobile objects (141) in the management network.
Fast adaptive buffering of hierarchical TCP communications
Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, mechanisms, and apparatus providing a traffic management function suitable for use at an intermediate Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) node (e.g., a cable modem) through which TCP uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) session traffic flows via respective linked UL and DL buffers is configured to manage ACK/NACK message insertion into the DL buffer to provide accelerated TCP UL packet size increases to so as to rapidly increase TCP UL data flow through the intermediate network node, and to provide constrained TCP UL packet size so as to rapidly decrease TCP UL data flow (apply backpressure) so as to avoid a buffer overflow condition.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO COMMUNICATION DEVICE PERFORMANCE AND FACILITATING ENHANCEMENTS IN PERFORMANCE
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a loss of at least a part of a packet conveyed via a wireless link coupling a processing system and a user equipment, based on the detecting, identifying a cause of the loss as being due to one of a signal strength of a signal being less than a first threshold or an amount of data in a buffer exceeding a second threshold, resulting in an identification, and based on the identification, invoking an action. Other embodiments are disclosed.
REPORTING MECHANISMS FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for reporting Quality of Service (QoS) feedback information. A method of wireless communication at an apparatus may include selecting, from a variable number of control fields, one or more control fields for inclusion in a frame, each control field comprising a control identifier field and a control information field. The control identifier field may include an indicator indicating a type of information for communication is QoS feedback information. The control information field may include one or more subfields containing the QoS feedback information. The method may further include generating the frame comprising the selected number of control fields, and outputting the frame for transmission.
Transmission parameter probing and searching for agile link quality adaptation
According to an embodiment there is provided a method for managing wireless communication between a sending wireless device and a receiving wireless device in a wireless network, the method comprising the sending wireless device: transmitting to the receiving wireless device one or more uplink communications using a first transmission setting; determining whether a link quality of the communication link falls outside of a predefined range; and in response to determining that the link quality falls outside of the predefined range: determining at least first and second probing transmission settings that differ from each other and from the first transmission setting; transmitting a first probing transmission using the first probing transmission setting and a second probing transmission using the second probing transmission setting; receiving from the receiving wireless device a selection of one of the first and second probing transmission settings; and adopting the selected probing transmission setting for use with future transmissions to the receiving wireless device.

APPLICATION PROGRAMING INTERFACE TO INDICATE A NUMBER OF WIRELESS CELLS
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to perform one or more APIs. In at least one embodiment, a processor is to perform an API to indicate a number of 5G-NR cells that are able to be performed concurrently by one or more processors; a processor is to perform an API to indicate whether one or more processors are able to perform a first number of 5G-NR cells concurrently; a processor comprising one or more circuits is to perform an API to indicate whether one or more resources of one or more processors are allocated to perform 5G-NR cells; and/or a processor comprises one or more circuits to perform an API to indicate one or more techniques to be used by one or more processors in performing one or more 5G-NR cells.
Dynamic buffer allocation for bluetooth low energy isochronous transmissions
Mechanisms and methods are provided for improving wireless audio transmission and synchronization for multi-channel Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) systems. In various embodiments, mechanisms and methods may include generating transmissions having a plurality of Protocol Data Units (PDUs) to BLE-compliant slave devices. The plurality of PDUs may be stored in a buffer. When an error is determined to have occurred in transmitting one of the PDUs, a re-transmission to the slave device may be generated, which may include the PDU in error and any subsequent PDUs of the plurality of PDUs.
