A method and apparatus are provided for overheat protection of UE. The method includes: determining a second signaling based on a first signaling when the UE is handed over to a target base station, wherein the first signaling is an original handover preparation signaling; and sending the second signaling to the target base station, wherein the second signaling carries overheat-related information of the UE.

Methods and systems of an all purpose broadband network with publish subscribe broker network

A first optimization server including a first publish-subscribe broker is configured to connect to a first cellular base transceiver station, where the first cellular base transceiver station is configured to communicatively connect to entities, including a first entity, in an RF coverage area of the first cellular base transceiver station. A second optimization server includes a second publish-subscribe broker, where the first publish-subscribe broker and the second publish-subscribe broker are part of a publish-subscribe broker network that is operable to distribute published data packets between entities that are connected to a publish-subscribe broker of the publish-subscribe broker network, where the publish-subscribe broker network is configured to route data packets published by the first entity to a second entity via the first publish-subscribe broker and the second publish-subscribe broker if the second entity has subscribed to receive the data packets published by the first entity.

FALLBACK TO CONDITIONAL HANDOVER USING SSB REFERENCE SIGNAL

In a system, apparatus, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for implementing fallback to conditional handover using a SSB reference signal, a UE device may be caused to, receive RRC reconfiguration information from a source RAN node, the RRC reconfiguration information including a SSB RS based CHO execution condition associated with at least one target cell controlled by a target RAN node, and a CSI-RS based CHO execution condition associated with the target cell(s), perform signal measurements of at least one SSB RS and at least one CSI-RS associated with the target cell(s), the at least one CSI-RS associated with a contention-free random access resource, and perform the CHO with the target cell(s) based on the signal measurement results of the at least one SSB RS, the at least one CSI-RS, the SSB based CHO execution condition, and the CSI-RS based CHO execution condition.

Transferring a data connection to a radio access network

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for transferring a data connection to a radio access network. One method includes receiving, at a remote unit, an indication to handover from a first radio access network to a second radio access network. The method includes determining, after receiving the indication, that at least one data connection of the remote unit is unable to be transferred to the second radio access network. The method includes determining that the at least one data connection of the remote unit is able to be transferred to a third radio access network within a first time duration. The method includes transmitting, within the first time duration, a data connection request to reestablish the at least one data connection over the third radio access network.

COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE, INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT AND METHODS

A method of operating a first communications device to communicate with a second communications device, the method comprising transmitting or receiving signals representing data to or from the second communications device over a wireless interface, the signals being transmitted or received by the second communications device in accordance with a current configuration, determining that the current configuration is to be changed to a new configuration, transmitting a handover command to the second communications device over the wireless interface, the handover command comprising an indication of the new configuration to replace the current configuration, and receiving via the wireless interface a handover reject indication from the second communications device, the handover reject indication indicating to the first communications device that the second communications device is to continue to operate in accordance with the current configuration.

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method of a first base station for supporting a handover procedure, the method comprising determining to perform a handover of a user equipment, UE, to a second base station; determining whether Hybrid automatic repeat request, HARQ, is to be used after the handover is completed; and based on determining that HARQ is to be used, notifying the UE that HARQ is to be used after the handover is completed and notifying the second base station that HARQ is to be used after the handover is completed.

Handover for closed access group

A first base station receives, from a second base station, a message comprising a network slice configuration parameter associated with a closed access group that one or more cells of the second base station support. The first base station determines based on the network slice configuration parameter, a handover for the wireless device to a cell of the one or more cells. The first base station sends, to the second base station, a request message for the handover, the request message comprising an identifier of the closed access group of the wireless device.

FAST HANDOVER FOR AN OPTICAL MULTI-CELL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and apparatus for use in an optical wireless communication system that enable communication of data, e.g. LiFi, and wherein fast handover can be achieved by having neighboring access points (AP1, AP2) announce themselves using very short frames, that get picked up by user devices (EP1) that detect the identity of a neighbor access point (AP2) and then communicate this to the current access point (AP1) to share information on the user device (EP1) with its neighbor access point (AP2), so that the neighbor access point (AP2) can be pre-configured to allocate resources and/or synchronize.

A target network device of a terminal device receives N data packets of a first service and auxiliary information from a source network device, where the auxiliary information indicates a transmission status of at least one data packet before the N data packets; and the target network device determines the transmission status of the at least one data packet.

A communication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: A source network device generates and sends a first message, where the first message is for handing over a terminal device from the source network device to a target network device, the first message includes first indication information, and the first indication information indicates to perform a random access-free process and/or a handover complete message-free process in a handover process. In this way, if cell jump occurs in a source cell, the terminal device may not perform a random access process and/or not send a handover complete message in a process of handover from the source cell to a target cell. This avoids uplink congestion of the target cell caused by simultaneous handover of a plurality of UEs to the target cell, effectively reduces signaling overheads, and improves network performance of a target base station.
