In one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an event notification method of an AMF in a wireless communication system. The event notification method includes receiving, from a requester, a subscribe message for a notification subscribe to a mobility event of a UE, wherein the subscribe message includes an identifier (ID) of the UE and an event filter for filtering the mobility event; performing a registration procedure for the UE; and when the mobility event filtered by the event filter happens in the registration procedure, completing the registration procedure of a notification message for the mobility event and then sending the notification message to a SMF, wherein if the subscribe message includes an indicator indicating a maintenance of a connected mode of the UE, the connected mode of the UE is maintained for a predetermined time after the registration procedure is completed.

The present application is at least directed a system for managing a server transition associated with user equipment. The system includes a non-transitory memory and a processor that is operably coupled to the non-transitory memory. The processor is configured to perform the instructions of receiving a relocation request from a first server to switch to another server. The processor also determines whether a first core networking terminating point associated with the first server is appropriate for the other server to communicate with the user equipment. Further, the processor sends a result of the determination to the user equipment.

In one example, each of a plurality of on-premise access points co-locate a mobility management functionality and a packet routing and forwarding functionality. A connection recovery method for recovering a connection between a communications apparatus and a data network includes: receiving a first message indicating a non-3GPP access from the 3GPP network device in a CM-IDLE state in the non-3GPP access network; transmitting a second message to the 3GPP network device via 5GMM protocol over 3GPP control plane to establish the user plane resources for the non-3GPP PDU session; receiving a third message indicating that the user plane resources cannot be reestablished; and transmitting to the 3GPP network device a service request message via the 5GMM protocol over the 3GPP Internet PDU session of 3GPP user plane to reestablish the user plane resources, or a PDU session establishment request message via 5GSM protocol over the 3GPP control plane to handover the non-3GPP PDU session from the non-3GPP access network to the 3GPP access network in response to the third message.

The present application discloses an application migration method in a mobile edge system, a related device, and a system. The method performed by a mobile edge orchestrator includes: obtaining a working index set of a to-be-migrated application on a first mobile edge server, where the working index set includes a migration index set including at least one migration index; determining a target migration solution of the to-be-migrated application based on the working index set and a preset correspondence, which is a correspondence between a migration index set and a migration solution; and sending a migration instruction to a mobile edge platform manager, where the migration instruction carries the target migration solution, and the migration instruction is used to instruct the mobile edge platform manager to migrate, based on the target migration solution, the to-be-migrated application from the first mobile edge server to a second mobile edge server.
