Release of a Second Session of a Wireless Device by an Access and Mobility Management Function
A source access and mobility management function (AMF) sends, to a target AMF, a first message indicating: a handover of a wireless device; and a source session management function (SMF). A second message causing a release of at least one second session of the wireless device is received from the target AMF. A request for the release of the at least one second session is sent to the source SMF. An indication of completion of the release is received from the source SMF. An indication of the completion of the release is sent to the target AMF.
Method and Arrangement for Connection Re-Establishment in a Telecommunication System
The invention relates to a method in a user equipment and a user equipment (700) for controlling connection re-establishment between said user equipment and a network. The method comprises the steps of receiving (501) a configuration message from the network defining at least one condition; upon detection of connectivity problems (503) towards the first cell, evaluating said at least one condition (504); if said at least one condition is fulfilled for a neighboring cell (B), applying at least one special criterion for initiating connection re-establishment to said neighboring cell (505), said at least one special criterion being different from at least one criterion that is applied if said at least one condition is not fulfilled. The invention furthermore relates to a method and an arrangement in a network node (800) for controlling connection re-establishment between the network and a user equipment (700).
FAILURE PROCESSING METHOD, HANDOVER METHOD, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND NETWORK DEVICE
This application provides failure processing methods, handover methods, terminal devices, and network devices. One method includes receiving a radio resource control (RRC) configuration of a secondary network device, if the RRC configuration of the secondary network device is from the secondary network device and the RRC configuration fails, sending, to a primary network device, first indication information for indicating a configuration failure of the RRC configuration.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING HANDOVER
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. According to an aspect of the embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for supporting handover is provided, comprising: receiving a message from a central unit control plane entity of a target base station; receiving a data packet from a source base station; and discarding a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) service data unit (SDU) including the PDCP sequence number (SN) in the received data packet according to the indication of the message.
Method and UE for performing rid update in UE in wireless communication network
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Embodiments herein provide a method for performing a routing ID (RID) update in user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network.
SEAMLESS EDGE APPLICATION HANDOVER
An edge application handover client in a user equipment may use application client information, such as type service, provider, location, context, and sendee requirements, to assist seamless edge application handovers of application clients between edge application servers. For example, a handover client may use context information to determine an anticipated route of the user equipment, and thereby determine a next, edge application server for a handoff. The handover client may weigh the needs of multiple application clients m selecting servers for handovers. The handover client may issue requests to servers requesting assistance in handover operations, and may issue subscription requests to servers, and further may determine the success of handovers by monitoring application state synchronization or migration between edge application handover servers.
Location Management
A second access and mobility management function (AMF) may receive a first message having positioning capability information indicating that a location management component (LMC) supports one or more positioning types. The second AMF may receive, from a first AMF, a second message indicating a positioning type of a wireless device. The second AMF may determine the LMC based on the positioning type and the positioning capability information. The second AMF may send, to a base station associated with the LMC, a third message having an identifier of the LMC.
USER EQUIPMENT (UE) HANDOVER IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A wireless UE wirelessly attaches to a network controller over a source RAN. The UE transfers UE capabilities that comprise a Public Land Mobile Network Identifier (PLMN ID) and transfers a slice request for a network slice type to the network controller over the source RAN. The network controller selects a network slice based on the requested network slice type. The network controller selects a mobility profile that comprises handover criteria based on the requested slice type and the PLMN ID. The UE exchanges user data with a user plane over the selected network slice. The UE determines a handover requirement based on the handover criteria and identifies a set of target RANs. The UE selects one of the target RANs based on the handover criteria and hands over to the target RAN. The UE exchanges additional user data with user plane over the network slice and the target RAN.
Second base station addition request for vehicle-to-everything (V2X)
A first base station receives a second base station addition request. The second base station addition request indicates for each packet flow of packet flows of a wireless device: whether each packet flow is for at least one vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service; and a quality-of-service indicator of each packet flow. An indication of an acceptance or rejection of each packet flow, of the packet flows, is sent based on whether each packet flow is for the at least one V2X service.
