Method for controlling multimode radio communications system, control server and terminal
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for controlling a multimode radio communications system, a control server, and a terminal. The method includes: establishing, by the control server, a basic link between the terminal and any one communications system in the multimode radio communications system according to first settings; selecting, by the control server according to second settings, a communications system from the multimode radio communications system as a service communications system for transmission of each service of the terminal; and sending, by the control server, control information to the terminal on the basic link, where the control information is used to indicate the service communications system for transmission of each service of the terminal. The embodiments of the present invention improve a utilization rate of radio resources and user experience in a multimode radio communications environment.
Apparatuses and methods for steering data traffic between heterogeneous networks
A mobile communication device is provided with a first wireless module, a second wireless module, and a controller module. The first and second wireless modules perform wireless transmissions and receptions to and from a telecommunication network and an AP using a cellular technology and an SRW technology, respectively. The controller module receives, from the telecommunication network via the first wireless module, at least one RAN rule and information concerning an amount of the data traffic to be offloaded and a level of granularity of the data traffic to be reported for offloading. Also, the controller module receives a first traffic offloading request from the telecommunication network via the first wireless module in response to determining that one of the RAN rule is satisfied, and offloads data traffic indicated by the first traffic offloading request from the telecommunication network to the AP via the second wireless module.
INTER-RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY HANDOFF PROCEDURE
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, UE communicates data associated with a communication session over a first RAT (e.g., LTE, NR, WLAN, etc.) in accordance with a first set of performance parameters (e.g., codec, QoS, bitrate, bandwidth, etc.). UE performs, during the communication session, an inter-RAT handover from the first RAT to a second RAT (e.g., LTE, NR, WLAN, etc.). UE transmits a re-INVITE over the second RAT in response to the inter-RAT handover. UE receives an indication of a second set of performance parameters (e.g., codec, QoS, bitrate, bandwidth, etc.) in response to the re-INVITE. UE communicates data associated with the communication session over the second RAT in accordance with the second set of performance parameters.
RAT Selection In Dual Mode Transceivers
The wireless apparatus and network node disclosed herein facilitate the selection and use of one of multiple RATs for communications between the wireless apparatus and the network node. The selected RAT provides a lower energy consumption at the wireless apparatus for the communications with the network node. To that end, the wireless apparatus selects between at least two RATs, e.g., first and second RATs, where the first and second RATs are both coordinated by a network node in communication with the wireless apparatus, and where a system bandwidth of the second RAT and a system bandwidth of the first RAT are both comprised within a third system bandwidth of a third RAT coordinated by the network node.
Communications system
A user communications device having active and idle states operates in a cellular communications network in which user communications devices communicate via network communications devices of cells of the network. History data identifying the cells in which the user communications device has been present whilst in the idle state is maintained. This history data is used by the user communications device or by a network communications device to enable adjustment of cell selection/reselection parameters for the user communications device in the active state.
NETWORK NODE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
In order to prevent deterioration of QoE of a user in intersystem handover, an apparatus according to the present invention includes: an information obtaining unit configured to obtain network slice related information related to a network slice used by a terminal apparatus in a first radio communication system; and a first communication processing unit configured to transmit, to a second network node of a second radio communication system, a message for intersystem handover of the terminal apparatus from the first radio communication system to the second radio communication system, the message including the network slice related information.
Method and apparatus for supporting light connection in next generation mobile communication systems
Methods and apparatuses are provided in which a first radio resource control (RRC) release message in an RRC connected state is received from a first base station. The first RRC release message includes first information configuring an RRC inactive state and second information associated with a paging area. A system information block 1 (SIB1) in the RRC inactive state is received from a second base station. A cell is identified that does not belong to the paging area based on the SIB1. An RRC resume request message is transmitted to the second base station to resume an RRC connection from the RRC inactive state. The RRC resume request message includes a cause value for updating the paging area. A second RRC release message for the RRC resume request message is received from the second base station. The second RRC release message includes third information associated with an updated paging area.
Method of configuring uplink data compression and device thereof
A method of configuring Uplink Data Compression and a device thereof are provided. The method includes: in a case that first UDC configuration information sent by a target base station is received by a user equipment, configuring, by the user equipment, an operator-defined dictionary stored by the user equipment for a compression processing of uplink data, according to the first UDC configuration information, where the first UDC configuration information includes indication information of using the operator-defined dictionary stored by the user equipment, and a target PLMN of the target base station is different from a source PLMN of a source base station of the user equipment.
Redirection or handover for multicast broadcast multimedia service
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a broadcast multicast service center (BMSC) device may receive, from a user equipment (UE) and via a first base station associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), a request for evolved multicast broadcast multimedia service (eMBMS) content. The BMSC device may transmit, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) device, a redirection request or a handover request, associated with the UE, from the first base station to a second base station associated with a second RAT. The BMSC device may transmit, to the UE and based at least in part on the UE being redirected or handed over to the second base station, the eMBMS content via the second base station. Numerous other aspects are provided.
