Method and user equipment for cell (re)selection
A method and a User Equipment (UE) for cell (re)selection are provided. The method includes: receiving an intra-frequency-reselection indicator in a Master Information Block (MIB) from a cell on a specific frequency; determining whether the cell belongs to a network to which the UE is registered; determining other cells on the specific frequency as barred cells that the UE is not permitted to select in an intra-frequency cell reselection, in a case that the cell belongs to the network and the intra-frequency-reselection indicator is set to a first value indicating that the intra-frequency cell reselection is not allowed to be performed; and performing the intra-frequency cell reselection to the other cells on the specific frequency, in a case that the cell does not belong to the network or the intra-frequency-reselection indicator is set to a second value indicating that the intra-frequency cell reselection is allowed to be performed.
User equipment handover method and device
Embodiments provide a user equipment handover method, and a device. In embodiments of the present invention, when a handover is to be performed, user equipment may send first information that is used to request a handover, and then a destination network device may allocate a first uplink resource to the user equipment.
Method and apparatus for providing beam related information for connection failure detection in wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for providing beam related information for connection failure detection in a wireless communication system is provided. In case that radio link failure (RLF) occurs due to too late handover, too early handover or handover to wrong cell, a gNB in which a user equipment (UE) attempts to re-establish or establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection provides RLF related information with beam related information to a gNB at which RLF happened.
User equipment and base station for mobile communication system
A user equipment (UE) and a base station (BS) for a mobile communication system are provided. The UE obtains a first timing advance (TA) value of a source BS, and receives a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message for a handover from the source BS to a target BS. The UE calculates a receiving time difference between a receiving time of two synchronization signals respectively transmitted by the source BS and the target BS, and calculates a reference time difference according to first reference time information of the source BS and second reference time information of the target BS. The UE calculates a second TA value of the target BS based on the first TA value, the receiving time difference and the reference time difference.
Inter-Band Handover of the Same Physical Frequency
A method of an access network node of a carrier aggregation enabled cellular wireless communication system, and a method of a wireless terminal device of a carrier aggregation enabled cellular wireless communication system are disclosed. The method for the network node comprises identifying a need for an inter-band handover where a same physical frequency on which the access network node interacts with a wireless terminal device has more than one logical reference, wherein the wireless terminal device currently operates using a first logical reference, assigning a target frequency for the inter-band handover as a second logical reference for the physical frequency, and performing handover signalling with the wireless terminal device including the assigned target frequency. The method of the wireless terminal device comprises performing operation where a need for an inter-band handover occurs where a same physical frequency on which the wireless terminal device interacts with an access network node of the cellular wireless communication system has more than one logical reference, wherein the wireless terminal device currently operates using a first logical reference, and performing handover signalling with the access network node including receiving an assigned target frequency which is a second logical reference for the physical frequency. A network node, a wireless terminal device and computer programs for these for implementing the methods are also disclosed.
APPARATUS, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR HANDOVER
There is provided an apparatus, said apparatus comprising means for receiving a handover command from a first cell, the handover command comprising an uplink resource grant and a condition to be met before handover is performed to a second cell, wherein the uplink resource grant indicates a set of uplink resources for uplink data transmission in the second cell without random access, determining validity of the uplink resource grant based on one or more further configuration parameter and in response to the condition being met, performing the handover according to the validity of the uplink resource grant.
RRC RECONFIGURATIONS DURING CONDITIONAL HANDOVER
It is provided a method comprising: checking if an indication indicates that a target cell is configured to store concurrently first and second configurations of a terminal, wherein the first configuration is based on a first conditional handover request, and the second configuration data set is based on a second conditional handover request; monitoring if the source cell intends performing a radio reconfiguration of the terminal after the source cell configured the terminal for the first conditional handover; canceling the first conditional handover if the source cell intends performing the radio reconfiguration and the indication does not indicate the concurrently storing; instructing the source cell to request the second conditional handover from the target cell if the source cell intends performing the radio reconfiguration and the indication indicates the concurrently storing.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING TARGET NETWORK CONFIGURATION BY USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method of transmitting a signal by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. Especially, the method includes the steps of receiving a handover command containing configurations for a second network, from a first network; performing a random access procedure to the second network; re-establishing a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity associated with a signaling radio bearer (SRB) based on the configurations for the second network, after a random access procedure to the second network successes; transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) message to the second network using the re-established PDCP entity.
Information Exchange Through the Interfaces for ML-Based CHO
An apparatus includes circuitry configured to: initiate a conditional handover preparation for a conditional handover to change communication access for a user equipment from a source node to a target node; receive a cost from the target node following the conditional handover preparation; receive a cause indicating a trigger for sending the cost, an indication of a type of the cost, and a range for the cost, where the cause characterizes a value of the cost to indicate the type of the cost; the cost being based on resource utilization of the target node, the resource utilization being related to providing communication access for the user equipment following the conditional handover preparation; and adjust a policy related to an initiation of a subsequent conditional handover preparation for the user equipment to the target node, the policy adjusted based on the cost to enhance the resource utilization of the target node.
