METHODS FOR USER EQUIPMENT CAPABILITY REPORTING OF SIMULTANEOUS CONNECTIVITY HANDOVER
Aspects of the present disclosure propose solutions to a problem of mobility interruption during handover between base stations by providing a UE with mechanisms to report the UE capability for simultaneous connectivity based handover, or so-called Dual Active Protocol Stack Handover (DAPS-HO). A UE reports the DAPS-HO capability of the UE to the network and then the base station initiates physical layer procedures to carry out DAPS-HO in accordance with the DAPS-HO capability reported by the UE. Aspects of the present disclosure also provide examples of signaling that may be used by the UE for reporting DAPS-HO capability to the network and the physical layer procedures that the UE may follow in accordance with the configuration that the network provides to the UE, which should be in accordance with the UE's capability.

A cell measurement method. According to the method, a terminal device determines that a first cell as a camped cell of the terminal device; and then determines that the terminal device is in a target environment. The terminal device further obtains a signal strength of the first cell and performs a measurement on a second cell when the signal strength of the first cell is less than a first threshold and greater than a second threshold. The second cell determined by the terminal device based on the target environment. The terminal device switches the camped cell of the terminal device from the first cell to the second cell when a measurement result of the second cell meets a handover condition.

A method includes receiving a first message from a first master node. Alternatively, the first message includes delta configuration information of a second candidate PSCell in the second PSCell list. The first configuration information of the first candidate PSCell includes an addition/change condition and a configuration of the first candidate PSCell. The first PSCell list includes one or more candidate PSCells configured by the first master node for a terminal. The second PSCell list includes one or more candidate PSCells configured by a second master node for the terminal. The method also includes adding a target PSCell or changing from an original PSCell to the target PSCell.

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network determines a snapshot value of a serving link signal received quality while the UE is permitted to refrain from performing neighbor link measurements. Responsive to detecting, while the UE is permitted to refrain from performing neighbor link measurements, that signal received quality of a serving link has dropped by at least a threshold amount below the snapshot value, the UE performs a neighbor link measurement.

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for enhanced conditional handover (CHO). An operation method of a base station may comprise: receiving a measurement report message from a terminal; transmitting a CHO request message to one or more candidate target cells; receiving a CHO request ACK message from the one or more candidate target cells; and transmitting an RRC reconfiguration message including CHO status report configuration information to the terminal, wherein the CHO status report configuration information requests transmission of information for determining a target cell to which terminal is likely to be handed over among the one or more candidate target cells.

According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method performed by a base station of a serving cell in a wireless communication system may comprise the steps of: transmitting configuration information for an artificial intelligence (AI)-based handover to a terminal; receiving, from the terminal, a handover request to a target cell according to the AI-based handover; and transmitting, to the terminal, a configuration message for access to the target cell, in response to the handover request, wherein the target cell is identified on the basis of a neural network (NN) configured for the AI-based handover and a measurement result of the terminal.
