METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CELL RESELECTION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a cell reselection in wireless communications. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system comprises: receiving, from a network, location information comprising a location point for each time point related to each of neighbor cells; determining a distance to each of the neighbor cells from the UE as a distance between the location point and the UE; selecting one or more cells including at least one of: i) a cell to which the distance from the UE is longest among a first set of the neighbor cells in a distance decreasing state; or ii) a cell to which the distance from the UE is shortest among a second set of the neighbor cells in a distance increasing state; and performing a cell reselection to a cell among the selected one or more cells. The distance decreasing state is a state in which the distance to the first set of the neighbor cells from the UE decreases by time. The distance increasing state is a state in which the distance to the second set of the neighbor cells from the UE increases by time.

A method of a UE comprises: receiving system information including time instance information for performing measurements on neighboring cells; identifying a time instance included in the time instance information; determining, based on a comparison between a current absolute time and the time instance, whether to perform the measurements on the neighboring cells; and skipping performing the measurements on the neighboring cells based on a determination that the current absolute time is before the time instance.
REDUCING LATENCY IN WIRELESS NETWORKS
Techniques for reducing latency between terminal stations in a wireless local area network. In an aspect, two stations in close proximity may be configured to associate with a common access point, by causing one or more of the stations to disassociate from a current access point and reassociating with the common access point. The identity of the common access point may be independently derived at each terminal station using simple broadcast messaging procedures, without the need for extensive communications or handshaking between the stations. In an alternative aspect, a terminal station may repeat the disassociation and reassociation procedures without knowledge of the other station's BSSID, until a measured latency drops below a threshold.

Method for starting inter-frequency measurement and related device
A method for starting inter-frequency measurement is provided. The method is applied to an inter-frequency network, the inter-frequency network includes a first base station and a second base station, there is an overlapping area between a signal coverage area of the first base station and a signal coverage area of the second base station, and an access priority of the second base station is higher than an access priority of the first base station; user equipment accesses the first base station; a distance between the second base station and an AP is less than a first distance threshold, and the AP is controlled by an AC. The method includes: receiving, by the AC, a user authentication request; obtaining an identifier of the user equipment from the user authentication request; and sending an inter-frequency measurement request to the user equipment according to the identifier of the user equipment.
BACKHAUL LINK FOR DISTRIBUTED ANTENNA SYSTEM
A distributed antenna and backhaul system provide network connectivity for a small cell deployment. Rather than building new structures, and installing additional fiber and cable, embodiments described herein disclose using high-bandwidth, millimeter-wave communications and existing power line infrastructure. Above ground backhaul connections via power lines and line-of-sight millimeter-wave band signals as well as underground backhaul connections via buried electrical conduits can provide connectivity to the distributed base stations. An overhead millimeter-wave system can also be used to provide backhaul connectivity. Modules can be placed onto existing infrastructure, such as streetlights and utility poles, and the modules can contain base stations and antennas to transmit the millimeter-waves to and from other modules.
