Dropped call warning and prevention methods
The disclosure provides methods and systems for warning users of mobile terminals during active phone calls or active data transfer that they approach certain geographical areas known as areas where active phone calls or active data transfer may be interrupted. In one embodiment, a method includes obtaining, by a processor, location information associated with a mobile terminal, determining, by the processor, that the mobile terminal approaches a particular geographical area, the particular geographical area being associated with previous dropped calls based at least in part on historical data, and, based on the determination, sending, by the processor, a warning signal to the mobile terminal for informing a user of the mobile terminal that the mobile terminal is about to enter the particular geographical area.
Method and apparatus for wireless communication using location based information
A method and apparatus is disclosed whereby location based information (LBI) is used to make access and routing decisions within a network. Such LBI is sent from mobile devices to the core network when the mobile device registers with the network and is updated periodically. Over time, this collected LBI data represents the position of mobile devices over time and periodic patterns of usage in different geographic areas. When a network receives an indication that a mobile device requires registration with the network, the network determines as a function of said LBI, a desired network access technology to use to connect said mobile device with the network. Instructions are then transmitted to the mobile device to establish a connection using said desired network access technology and the device is registered with the network. Dynamically updated LBI information from mobile devices is also used for IP network routing optimization.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
Disclosed are an electronic apparatus for wireless communication, a wireless communication method and a computer-readable medium. The electronic apparatus for wireless communication comprises a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to perform control so as to send, by means of beam-based non-terrestrial network communication, information about beam switching of a base station to a user equipment, to determine a temporal or spatial position of beam switching, and to perform control so as to perform beam switching when the determined temporal or spatial position is reached.
Mobile Wireless Broadband Network Interface Card (MWBNIC) and K-net
A Mobile Wireless Broadband Network Interface Card (MWBNIC) for networking electronic devices on a wireless broadband spectrum. The MWBNIC is built into electronic devices as a connecting modem or plugged in via external device ports such as USB. A microprocessor chip attached to a circuit board with a network packet controller coupled to a dedicated cache memory utilized to temporarily store the last N data packets from a node for networking WIFI maintains packet continuity. The network comes with protocols that control packet processing. The MWBNIC embedded packet control protocol (PCP) pushes, pops, compares and deletes packets from cache when a device is in motion. The PCP is connected to a mechanism for determining bandwidth on nodes, another mechanism for switching frequency to that of the next K-Node to connect to and a pre-determined connectivity data set that directly connects the modem in motion are means for networking broadband spectrum.
USER EQUIPMENT AND BASE STATION PARTICIPATING IN A SYSTEM INFORMATION ACQUISITION PROCEDURE
The present disclosure relates to a user equipment comprising a receiver receiving a minimum-system-information message from a first radio base station. System information for the first radio cell that can be acquired by the UE is carried within the minimum-SI message and one or more additional-SI messages. The minimum-SI message includes system information for accessing the first radio cell and at least one system information index, each of which is associated with one of the additional-SI messages. The SI message index comprises a value tag and an area pointer, the latter pointing to one area already defined. Processing circuitry determines whether the UE had already acquired before the additional-SI message associated with the same value tag and the same area. If the determination is positive, the processing circuitry determines that system information included in said additional-SI message acquired before is applicable to the first radio cell.
Mobile cellular networks
Multiple mobile cellular network (MCN) communication systems can be networked together to form a network of MCN communication systems (NOM). Each MCN communication system within the NOM can operate as an independent cellular network to provide communications between user equipment within a covered area. When a UE in one MCN of the NOM moves into a different MCN of the NOM, the corresponding MCN communication systems can handover the UE. The UE can also be handed over between MCN communication systems when the MCN communication systems move.
Backhaul link for distributed antenna system
A distributed antenna and backhaul system provide network connectivity for a small cell deployment. Rather than building new structures, and installing additional fiber and cable, embodiments described herein disclose using high-bandwidth, millimeter-wave communications and existing power line infrastructure. Above ground backhaul connections via power lines and line-of-sight millimeter-wave band signals as well as underground backhaul connections via buried electrical conduits can provide connectivity to the distributed base stations. An overhead millimeter-wave system can also be used to provide backhaul connectivity. Modules can be placed onto existing infrastructure, such as streetlights and utility poles, and the modules can contain base stations and antennas to transmit the millimeter-waves to and from other modules.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RESELECTING CELL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for selecting a cell in a wireless communication system supporting a low latency service. According to the present invention, provided are a method including: receiving a first control message including first scheduling delay information indicating a delay time related with resource allocation of a serving base station from the serving base station; transmitting a request message including an UL (uplink) resource request IE (information element) for requesting UL resource allocation to the serving base station or a neighboring base station; receiving a response message in response to the request message from the serving base station or the neighboring base station; and receiving the UL resource from the serving base station or the neighboring base station based on the request message, in which the UL resource request IE includes an UL grant offset field indicating an UL resource request time of the UE, and an apparatus.
