OFFLINE SECURITY VALUE DETERMINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A method including collecting, by a communication device comprising a machine learning model obtained at least in part from a server computer, metadata associated with an application. The communication device can then embed the metadata to form vectorized data. The communication device can input the vectorized data into the machine learning model to obtain a security value. The communication device can determine whether to run or install the application based upon the security value.

A network-adaptive function control method is provided for a dual-mode mobile terminal. The network-adaptive function control method for a dual-mode mobile terminal supports communication via first and second-type networks includes registering at least one function as a network-adaptive; determining, when a function is requested to be activated, whether the requested function is the network-adaptive function. If it is determined that the requested function is the network-adaptive function, it if determined whether the mobile terminal is in the first-type network; and activating, if the mobile terminal is in the first-type network, the requested function in association with the first-type network. The network-adaptive function control method of the present invention allows registering portable IP network-friendly functions that are served only in a portable IP network domain but not in the cellular network domain, thereby restricting handover to the costly cellular network, resulting in reduction of communication cost.

A mobile device joins a communication session using a data communication channel. A determination is made the data communication channel uses a data network of the mobile device. A determination is made that, during the communication session, a quality of the data communication channel has decreased. In response to determining that the data communication channel uses the data network of the mobile device and determining that the quality of the data communication channel has decreased, a push notification message is sent to a push notification service. The push notification message comprises a cellular network dial-able number that is used by a cellular application in the mobile device to initiate a call to join the communication session via a cellular communication channel that uses a cellular network.

PATH SWITCHING METHOD AND APPARATUS BASED ON USER TEXT INFORMATION

Disclosed is a path switching method and apparatus based on user text information, including that: (401) when a UE is switched into an inactive state on a source random access network (RAN) node and paging of the UE is initiated by the source RAN node, a target RAN node receives a resume request message sent by the UE, and sends a user text obtain request message to the source RAN node; (402) the target RAN node receives a user text obtain response message sent by the source RAN node, where the user text obtain response message carries user text information on the source RAN node; (403) after a data transmission channel is established between the source RAN node and the target RAN node according to information carried in the user text obtain request message, the target RAN node receives data cached locally and forwarded by the source RAN node.

A method for a conditional handover (CHO) is described in some of the present embodiments. The method may receive from a source base station (e.g., a gNB or an eNB) one or more CHO commands that each is associated with one or more triggering conditions for a CHO to a target cell associated with a target base station (e.g., a target gNB or a target eNB). The method may continuously evaluate the triggering condition(s) associated with each received (and valid) CHO command. When the method determines that at least one of the triggering conditions has been fulfilled, the method may execute the CHO command that is associated with the triggering condition in order to connect to one or more candidate target cells associated with the CHO command.
