METHOD FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION OF TERMINAL IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING MULTI-CARRIER STRUCTURE
A method for reducing power consumption of a terminal that communicates with a base station in a mobile communication system using a multi-carrier sturcture composed of a primary component carrier and at least one secondary component carrier comprises: receiving a discontinuous reception (DRX) parameter group for multi carriers from the base station; and setting the multi carriers to the same parameter value, by using the received parameter group. The method for reducing power consumption of the terminal further comprises: performing a downlink control channel receive operation on each carrier according to a DRX cycle. As the base station in the mobile communication system using the multi-carrier structure simplifies the DRX process for reducing power consumption of a terminal by reducing signaling load for the multi-carrier control of the terminal, it becomes possible to reduce power consumption of the terminal.
Multi-Interface Transponder Device- Altering Power Modes
Methods for performing power management of a multi-interface transponder (MIT) device, e.g., such as positional tag device. The MIT device may transition between various power states, e.g., based on detected events, such as detecting movement of the MIT device, receiving a wakeup signal, receiving an indication of a transition in transportation mode, and/or detecting that the MIT device may be lost, such as based on a lack of contact with another device for more than a threshold period of time.
SIDELINK COMMUNICATION WITH REDUCED POWER CONSUMPTION
Example embodiments relate to sidelink communication with reduced power consumption. In an embodiment, a terminal device may comprise at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the terminal device to monitor sidelink transmission during a monitoring time-interval of a transmission period, and ignore a re-transmission time-interval subsequent to the monitoring time-interval in the transmission period in a case where no sidelink transmission to the terminal device is received in the monitoring time-interval.
Scheduling data in background services on mobile devices
Systems and methods of scheduling data in background services on mobile devices are disclosed. An example method includes identifying data consumption patterns on a mobile device. The method also includes determining sensitivity of data arriving at the mobile device based on the data consumption patterns. The method also includes aggregating network access by background services on the mobile device according to a schedule based on the sensitivity of the data arriving at the mobile device.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS THAT WIRELESSLY COMMUNICATES WITH EXTERNAL APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication apparatus capable of achieving both of improvement in operability and suppression of battery consumption. A camera as the communication apparatus wirelessly communicates with one of a plurality of external devices including a remote controller and a smartphone. The state of the camera is switched between an operating state and a power-saving state in which power consumption is smaller than in the operating state. In the power-saving state, when a connection request is received from the remote controller as a device for non-continuous connection, a process for establishing a connection with the remote controller is started, and the camera is shifted to the operating state. In the power-saving state, when a connection request is received from the smartphone as a device for continuous connection, a process for establishing a connection with the smartphone is started, and the camera is not shifted to the operating state.
APPARATUSES FOR TRANSMISSION OF PAGING BLOCKS IN SWEPT DOWNLINK BEAMS
New radio channel designs incorporate a synchronization signal burst series frame structure, with higher layer channels mapped to physical channels transmitted during a synchronization signal, allowing user equipment to select beams during which to listen for paging information. A physical common control channel configuration information element may be used to signal the paging configuration as part of the System Information. Paging may occur with or without user equipment assistance.
Switch device and power supply control system
The switch device includes a control switch that turns on/off an electrical connection between an apparatus and the power supply, a condition judging circuit that judges conditions of driving the control switch, an electric wave reception circuit that receives an electric wave, and a power supply circuit that generates power from the electric wave received by the electric wave reception circuit. An electric wave transmission device that transmits an electric wave for making the switch device operate is arranged in a space, whereby the electric wave can be received by the electric wave reception device in the specific space. The switch device controls the control switch to be turned off/on when the electric wave is received. Alternatively, when the electric wave is not received, the switch device turns on/off the control switch.
EVENT SIGNALLING IN A WIRELESS BACKHAUL NETWORK
There is provided a method for signaling an event associated with a wireless terminal in a communications network. The method is performed by an information providing node. The method comprises detecting an event associated with a wireless terminal, the event causing a change of operation in at least a client node or a hub node in a wireless backhaul network. The method comprises transmitting a message indicative of the event towards an information receiving node.
CHANNEL MONITORING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND USER EQUIPMENT
A channel monitoring method and apparatus, and a user equipment are disclosed. The method includes: receiving, by the UE, first information sent by a network device, where the first information is used for indicating a monitoring behavior of the UE on a downlink control channel, and the first information includes at least one of the following: time information or frequency domain information; and monitoring or stopping monitoring, by the UE, a target downlink control channel according to the first information.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SAVING POWER OF USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An operating method of a user equipment (UE) to save power of the UE in a wireless communication system is provided. The operating method includes receiving wake up signal (WUS) configuration information from a base station (BS), monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) based on the WUS configuration information, and stopping monitoring the PDCCH based on the WUS configuration information and operating in a short discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, when a certain event occurs in Active time.
