Method and apparatus for providing hibernation of multi-mode mobile terminal
A method and apparatus minimize current consumption related to accessing a local network in a multi-mode mobile terminal. Current location information of the multi-mode mobile terminal is checked through a first communication module. A second communication module for a local network is turned-on when the current location information of the multi-mode mobile terminal corresponds to stored location information. The second communication module is turned-off when a connection to the local network is interrupted and the current location information of the multi-mode mobile terminal does not correspond to the stored location information.
Power consumption enhanced parking system
There is provided a parking system comprising a parking lot device and a parking vehicle device configured for an enhanced management of power consumption such that the parking lot device uses self-generated energy and conducts tasks requiring a lower power consumption level and wherein the parking vehicle device uses the vehicle battery and is configured to conduct tasks requiring a higher power consumption level, where both the PLD and the PVD are configured to work in a coordinated manner to sleep and wake up only when required in order to minimize power consumption.
Fast Discontinuous Reception (DRX) Cycle Adjustment
This document describes techniques that enable fast discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle adjustment. Using the described techniques, a user equipment can detect trigger events that indicate the user equipment may be in a state that can be mitigated by a DRX cycle configuration adjustment. In response to the trigger event, the user equipment can generate an instant DRX change request (IDCR). The user equipment can transmit the IDCR to a base station that is providing a current DRX cycle configuration and direct the base station to provide an adjusted DRX cycle configuration that is based at least in part on the IDCR. These techniques allow the user equipment to adjust the DRX cycle configuration when the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC)-inactive mode or an RRC-idle mode, which can enable the user equipment to quickly mitigate operating conditions such as low battery capacity.
SCHEDULING REQUEST COLLECTION AFTER A DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION PERIOD
A wireless device configured for discontinuous reception (DRX) may and operating in a system that uses directional beamforming may identify a random access time period after awaking from a DRX sleep mode. The device may then transmit a scheduling request during the random access time period. In some cases, the device may transmit the scheduling request using frequency resources also associated with random access transmissions. In other cases, the device may utilize resources that are not associated with random access. The determination of which frequency resources are used may depend on the length of the DRX. That is, if a device has been in a sleep mode for a long time, it may use random access frequency resources that are associated with a more robust transmission configuration.
COMMUNICATION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
A communication method, apparatus, and system may include terminal device that receives first information from a core network device, where the first information is used to indicate whether the terminal device is to use a power-saving paging discontinuous reception cycle. The terminal device determines a paging discontinuous reception cycle of the terminal device based on the first information. Therefore, the terminal device avoids always selecting a shortest cycle as the paging discontinuous reception cycle, so that the paging discontinuous reception cycle determined by the terminal device is more appropriate, and power saving of the terminal device is facilitated.
Method and device for implementing power saving in wireless LAN system
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and, more particularly, a method and device for implementing power saving in a wireless LAN system are disclosed. A method of implementing power saving by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of: receiving a plurality of frames from an access point (AP) by means of the station STA that is changed from a sleep state to an awake state; determining whether each of the plurality of frames has an error; and transmitting a response frame representing the presence and absence of the error to the AP. Even if each of the plurality of frames includes information instructing the AP to stop transmitting to the station to the station STA, it is possible to maintain the awake state when at least one of the plurality of frames has an error.
Tuning a NFC antenna of a device
A NFC object reader's NFC antenna system configured to dynamically change an element of the NFC antenna system to maintain the NFC antenna system's antenna default resonant frequency. The NFC antenna system can be configured to include a tuning subsystem, integrated with sensors to trigger tuning of NFC antenna system's antenna.
METHOD AND SYSTEM TO SELECT A COMMUNICATION MODE
By analyzing the apps on a portable computing device 500, the communication modes used by the portable computing devices 500 and the communication requirements of the apps at a given time, an ideal communication mode given a certain mix of apps operating on a portable computing device 500 at a given point in time may be determined
Apparatus and method for controling power in a short-range communication device
An apparatus and method for controlling power in a short-range communication device are configured such that when the short-range wireless communication device is connected to a portable terminal by Near Field Communication (NFC), a link key request message requesting a link key is transmitted to the portable terminal, and upon receipt of a link key confirm message from the portable terminal in response to the link key request message, the short-range wireless communication device is powered on.
Communication control method, user terminal, processor, and storage medium
A communication control method used in a cellular mobile communication system that performs inter-terminal communication that is direct radio communication capable of being performed between user terminals in a state where a radio connection with a network is established, comprises a step of transmitting, by a first user terminal, to the network, communication request information indicating a desire to start the inter-terminal communication, a step of transmitting, by the network, to a second user terminal, start request information for starting waiting for a search signal, in a case where the second user terminal identified on the basis of the communication request information is stopping the waiting for the search signal for the inter-terminal communication, and a step of starting, by the second user terminal, waiting for the search signal upon receiving the start request information from the network.
