Method and device for transmitting power saving signal
Disclosed are a method and device for transmitting a power saving signal, the method includes: sending, by a network device, a power saving signal to a terminal device, wherein the power saving signal comprises a first sequence, the first sequence is used to indicate at least part of identification information related to the terminal device, and/or the first sequence is used for the terminal device to perform time-frequency synchronization; wherein the identification information related to the terminal device comprises: an identity of a device group which the terminal device belongs to, a device identity of the terminal device, and Physical Cell Identification (PCI) information of a cell where the terminal device resides.
DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION ENHANCEMENTS
Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer programs for offloading computing tasks to one or more computers, e.g., that implement an edge server. In one aspect, the method can include actions of transmitting, for a user equipment and to the one or more computers, uplink information via an air interface; determining whether the uplink information has been fully transmitted across the air interface; based on determining that the uplink information has been fully transmitted across the air interface, triggering a sleep mode for the user equipment and starting a first timer; determining that the first timer has expired; and based on determining that the first timer has expired, triggering (i) a user equipment wake-up operation and (ii) maintaining a second timer that indicates when the user equipment should enter the sleep mode if result data, to be generated using the uplink information, has not been received.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication device establishes multiple wireless links which are used in wireless communication compliant with an IEEE 802.11 series standard and which are used in data communication with a partner device. The communication device collects, from the partner device, power saving information related to power saving operations that respectively correspond to the multiple wireless links and that are performed in the partner device, before a start of frame exchange for a next data communication with the partner device, and using a wireless link, among the multiple wireless links, that is in the enabled state.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RADIO FREQUENCY POWER SYSTEMS
A compact directed energy system is disclosed that is configured to generate directed energy beams. The compact directed energy system includes a radio frequency system configured to provide a directed energy beam in a frequency range between 500 MHz to 20 Ghz.
Cellular wakeup receiver for reducing power consumption of user equipment employing LTE-WLAN aggregation
A cellular wakeup receiver (C-WuRx) for reducing power consumption of a wireless wide area network (WWAN) radio of a user equipment (UE) includes receiver circuitry to receive a wakeup signal from a base station in response to the UE performing link aggregation by which downlink communications from the base station are offloaded to a wireless local area network (WLAN). The C-WuRx also includes processing circuitry to configure the receiver circuitry to periodically monitor at least a portion of a WWAN band for the wakeup signal and process the wakeup signal to cause the WWAN radio to resume receiving the downlink communications from the base station.
Transition Control between Radio Resource Control States
A technique of triggering transition control between different RRC states of wireless terminal devices is described. A method aspect of this technique comprises receiving a request for an RRC state transition control for a terminal device, wherein the request includes at least one identifier associated with the terminal device. The method further comprises obtaining a temporal inactivity parameter associated with the at least one identifier, wherein the temporal inactivity parameter depends on an estimated period of time between two traffic activities of the terminal device. Further still, the method comprises triggering, based on the temporal inactivity parameter or a parameter derived on the basis of the temporal inactivity parameter, the RRC state transition control for the terminal device.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING IDLE MODE MEASUREMENT IN RRC INACTIVE STATE
A method performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. In the method, at least one idle mode measurement configuration is received from a cell of a serving radio access network (RAN) via a downlink control signaling. Whether a small data transmission (SDT) procedure is ongoing while the UE is staying in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state is determined. Whether to perform an idle mode measurement in the RRC inactive state according to the at least one idle mode measurement configuration is determined based on a determination result of whether the SDT procedure is ongoing.
PSM and ANR Handling for Power Limited Devices
Techniques are provided for a UE performing neighbor cell measurement prior to entry into a low power mode. Generally, the UE configures a low energy neighbor cell measurement. Responsive to a low power trigger, the UE delays transition to the low power mode to perform the neighbor cell measurement. The UE enters the low power mode after performing the neighbor cell measurement
Keeping the UE awake
When mobile terminated devices sleep, the devices might not be reachable when needed, for instance when the device is a recipient of data from a third party server. As described herein, a third party application server may inform the network that it has data to send to a particular UE or group of UEs. In an example, the mobile core network (MCN) may use information from the third party server to ensure that the UE is awake when it needs to be. For example, a given UE or group of UEs can be prevented from entering a sleep state before a data transfer is completed.
Mobile transceiver having device-based alarm profile and a method of operation
A method of configuring a mobile transceiver, a system, and a mobile transceiver are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, there is provided a method comprising: assigning a device profile to a mobile transceiver in accordance with a device identifier (ID) of the mobile transceiver, wherein the device profile is selected from a plurality of predefined device profiles in accordance with the device ID of the mobile transceiver, each device profile defining the types of alarms capable of being configured on the mobile transceiver; assigning an alarm profile to the mobile transceiver in accordance with the device ID in dependence on the types of alarms capable of being configured on the mobile transceiver defined by the assigned device profile, wherein the alarm profile defines a plurality of alarms, each alarm including a trigger condition and one or more actions; and sending the assigned alarm profile to the mobile transceiver, wherein the assigned alarm profile is applied by the mobile transceiver subsequent to being received by the mobile transceiver.
