The D2D signal transmission method includes: transmitting D2D control information; and transmitting D2D data corresponding to the D2D control information, wherein the D2D control information and the D2D data are transmitted in the same subframe, and the D2D control information and the D2D data are always adjacent to each other in the frequency axis.

Systems and methods for wearable initiated handshaking

Systems and methods for device handshaking are described. Embodiments for client device and associated wearable device initiated handshaking are described. In certain embodiments, a device such as wearable camera eyeglasses having both high-speed wireless circuitry and low-power wireless circuitry communicates with a client device. The low-power wireless circuitry is used for signaling and to manage power on handshaking for the high-speed circuitry in order to reduce power consumption. An analysis of a high-speed connection status may be performed by a client device, and used to conserve power at the glasses with signaling from the client device to indicate when the high-speed circuitry of the glasses should be powered on.

An electronic device in a wireless communication system, and a wireless communication method. The electronic device at a user equipment side, performs a device-to-device (D2D) communication with a target user equipment, and the electronic device includes: processing circuitry configured to acquire information on a first power parameter from a base station device, the first power parameter indicates a D2D nominal power for the electronic device to perform D2D communication, the D2D nominal power different from a cellular nominal power for the electronic device to perform a cellular communication with the base station device; and determine, irrelevant to a path loss between the electronic device and the target user equipment, based on the first power parameter, a D2D transmission power for performing the D2D communication between the electronic device and the target user equipment.

Configuring client device regulation modes for sidelink communications

Disclosed are systems and techniques for performing sidelink communications. For instance, a first client device can determine a first transmit power parameter for transmitting sidelink communications. The first transmit power parameter can either be received from a base station associated with the first client device or it can be a default parameter based on the first client device not being associated with a base station. The first client device can transmit, to a second client device, a first sidelink transmission having a first power level corresponding to the first transmit power parameter. The first client device can receive, from the second client device, a first sidelink reception having a second power level corresponding to a second transmit power parameter.

Sidelink power control using shared resources

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) that is configured with two sets of power control parameters may be signaled (e.g., via downlink control information (DCI)) as to which set of parameters to use for determining the transmission power on a sidelink channel. The UE may determine a transmit power for a sidelink message based on the indication included in the DCI. The base station may transmit the indication based on whether uplink or downlink communications are scheduled on resources that may overlap with resources used for transmission of the sidelink message.

POWER HEADROOM REPORTING FOR SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE), which may be a relay device, may establish a sidelink communication link for communications between a base station and a second UE via the first UE. The first UE may receive control signaling from the base station indicating a configuration for transmitting a power headroom report for transmissions scheduled over the sidelink communication link. The first UE may determine a power headroom associated with transmissions from the first UE to the second UE, which may be based on a transmission power capability of the first UE, and the first UE may transmit a power headroom report to the base station. The base station may schedule communications with the second UE based on the received power headroom report from the first UE.
