In some examples, a base station may transmit, to a secondary user equipment (UE), a first grant to conditionally transmit one or more data messages over a first set of resources upon completion of a detection procedure. The detection procedure may include monitoring a second set of resources for over-the-air (OTA) signals transmitted by a primary UE pursuant to a second grant, where the first set of resources at least partially overlaps the second set of resources. The UE may monitor for the OTA signals from the primary UE, determine that one or more conditions for transmission of the one or more data messages have been satisfied, and transmit the one or more data messages over the first set of resources.

Some embodiments monitor the radio bandwidth for one or more triggering events indicative of interference; and detect at least one of the one or more triggering events indicative of interference on the radio bandwidth in order to determine the predetermined condition exists. These triggering events may include determining a current/historic packet collision probability is above a threshold, detecting signals that identify another radio access system, detecting a channel utilization ratio above a threshold, and determining a current/historic data throughput.

A wireless device may receive one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) from a base station (BS) as part of a measurement procedure with listen before talk (LBT). The wireless device may determine one or more LBT failures associated with one or more receive beams of the wireless device. Furthermore, in response to determining the one or more LBT failures associated with the one or more receive beams of the wireless device, the wireless device may extend a measurement period for the one or more receive beams of the wireless device. The wireless device may then receive one or more additional SSBs on the one or more receive beams of the wireless device.
