ITERATIVE RECEIVER AND METHODS FOR DECODING UPLINK WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
20170251479 · 2017-08-31 ·

Methods and devices are disclosed for decoding multiple sparsely encoded data sequences in a wireless communications network. A received signal carrying multiple sparsely encoded data sequences is decoded by selecting a first plurality of the data sequences and performing multi-user decoding on the received signal to decode the first plurality of data sequences. Other data sequences are treated as noise. The plurality of data sequences is selected to meet a collision threshold for the multi-user decoding. Data sequences may be selected based on a collision contribution and signal quality metrics. A modified received signal is generated to remove signals associated with the multiple sparsely encoded data sequences which have been successfully decoded. The method may be performed for additional iterations to select a new plurality of data sequences, and perform the multi-user decoding on the modified received signal to decode additional data sequences, until a stopping condition is met.

In an embodiment, a method, in a source wireless station, of transmitting a data packet to a destination wireless station over a communication channel of a wireless network while the communication channel is in use for a communication exchange between a first wireless station and a second wireless station is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving a request to send message transmitted by the first wireless station on the communication channel, the request to send message comprising an indication of a duration that the communication channel will be in use during the communication exchange between the first wireless station and the second wireless station; determining if a clear to send message transmitted from the second wireless station to the first wireless station is received in an expected reception period following the request to send message; determining a transmission period, the transmission period being a part of the duration in which transmission on the communication channel by the source wireless station will not interfere with the communication exchange between the first wireless station and the second wireless station; comparing the duration of the transmission period with a duration required for transmission of the data packet; and transmitting the data packet during the transmission period if a clear to send message is not received in the expected reception period and the duration of the transmission period is longer than or equal to the duration required for transmission of the data packet.

Listen Again After Talk for Broadcast/Multi-cast Communications

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform methods to implement mechanisms for performing a listen again after talk procedure to detect collisions over an access medium. The wireless device may determine a frequency and configuration of modified transmission frames for transmission over an access medium (licensed or unlicensed) and may further determine a timing of the modified transmission frames within a transmission occasion. The wireless device may detect, during a listening period of the modified transmission frame, a collision and may adjust, based, at least in part, on the detected collision, a remaining transmission schedule for the transmission schedule and/or LBT parameters.

SPATIAL COLLISION HANDLING FOR MULTIPLE TRANSMIT AND RECEIVE POINT OPERATION

The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods to address spatial collisions between physical downlink control channel and default physical downlink shared channel beams in wireless communication systems.

COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM, COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE AND METHOD

A method of allocating resources for communications in a mobile telecommunication system wherein the mobile telecommunication system includes a wireless interface for a base station to communicate with communications devices and wherein a communications device is operable to transmit signals to another communications device using resources of the wireless interface and in accordance with a device-to-device communication protocol. A first pool of the resources is allocated to device-to-device communications of broadcast type and a second pool of the resources is allocated to a device-to-device communications of unicast type, the second pool of resources being separate from the first pool. The method includes a first communications device transmitting broadcast messages using resources of the first resources pool and a second communications device transmitting unicast messages using resources of the second resources pool.

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first message from a first device. The first device includes an originator of a first channel occupancy time (COT). The method may also include transmitting a second message including a source identity (ID) of the first device. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

TECHNIQUES FOR SCHEDULING REQUEST SELECTION IN CONSIDERATION OF CHANNEL COLLISION

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify numbers of symbols of a plurality of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources that collide with a sounding reference signal resource, wherein the plurality of PUCCH resources are associated with transmitting a scheduling request (SR). The UE may determine a plurality of collision values associated with the plurality of PUCCH resources. The UE may transmit the SR on a PUCCH resource, of the plurality of PUCCH resources, that is associated with a collision value of the plurality of collision values.
