TERMINAL DEVICE, BASE STATION APPARATUS, INTEGRATED CIRCUIT, AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD
In a terminal device that communicates with a different terminal device and a base station apparatus, in a case where data that is available for transmission to the different terminal device is retained in a buffer, processing is performed in such a manner that information indicating a C-RNTI is included in a message 3 that is to be transmitted to the base station apparatus.
Connectivity robustness in wireless systems
Systems and methods are contemplated for reconfiguration of one or more MAC instances while the WTRU is operating using dual- or multi-MAC instance connectivity. For example, upon reception of RRC reconfiguration information that modifies one or more secondary MAC instances, the WTRU may transmit a reconfiguration complete message to a Macro eNB (MeNB) and may synchronize to small-cell or secondary eNB (SeNB), for example if triggered by one or more of an RRC flag, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order (MeNB/SeNB), MAC activation information, etc. For example, the WTRU may synchronize to the SeNB for specific type(s) of RRC reconfigurations, but not other type(s) of RRC reconfigurations. Although examples may be described in terms of dual connectivity, the WTRU may establish connectivity and perform mobility procedures with more than two radio access network (RAN) nodes (e.g., eNBs), and the embodiments described may be equally applicable to those scenarios.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BEAM DETECTION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for beam detection in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE initiating a RA procedure. The method also includes the UE transmitting multiple RA preambles to a base station of the cell at different occasions for the base station to determine a beam set of the UE. The method further includes the UE starts monitoring a PDCCH for RA response reception from the base station after finishing transmissions of the multiple RA preambles.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING TRANSMISSION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for handling transmission in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes initiating a RA procedure, by a UE, in a serving cell. The method also includes deciding whether to transmit a RA Preamble, by the UE, in the serving cell at a specific timing during the RA procedure based on at least one information that includes beam(s) (or beam group(s)) of the serving cell detected by the UE.
RADIO (NR) RANDOM ACCESS PROCEDURE (RACH) TIMING DESIGNS
A configurable new radio (NR) RACH procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed. A first message can be transmitted, in an inactive or idle state, a on a physical random access channel, where the first message includes a random access preamble. A second message can be received on a downlink channel in response to the first message, where the second message includes a temporary cell radio network temporary identifier and an uplink grant for the user equipment. A request can be transmitted on an uplink channel based on the uplink grant. A common search space of a downlink control channel can be monitored, such as for an acknowledgement message or a negative acknowledgement message corresponding to the request and identifiable based on the temporary cell radio network temporary identifier.
Method and device for enabling direct communication between terminals using pseudo-random access procedure
The present document presents a method and device for transmitting and receiving a signal by using direct communication (D2D communication) between terminals by using a pseudo-RACH procedure in a wireless communication system. A transmission terminal performing the method randomly selects one of a certain number of D2D communication signatures to transmit a first message through a resource randomly selected from among predetermined time-frequency resources to a base station, and receives a second message including control information for a D2D broadcast or groupcast signal transmission from the base station, wherein the transmission terminal uses control information received through the second message to transmit a third message including a groupcast signal or the D2D broadcast to one or more reception terminals.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING UPLINK DATA USING CONTENTION BASED RESOURCES IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND APPARATUS THEREFOR
The present specification relates to a method for transmitting medium access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) in a wireless communication system. The method, which is performed by a terminal, comprises the steps of: transmitting a control signal through a physical uplink channel to a base station; and transmitting the MAC PDU including terminal identifier information for identifying the terminal to the base station using contention resources within contention-based PUSCH zone (CP zone).
RANDOM ACCESS CHANNEL DESIGN, METHODS, AND APPARATUS
In response to receiving a random access channel message from a User Equipment (UE), a network element in a communication network may initiate a random access procedure, for example. The random access channel message includes multiple sequences, such as a first sequence associated with a group of UEs that includes the UE and a second sequence associated with the UE, and may be in any one of multiple different message formats. The random access procedure could include respective search stages for each of the multiple sequences. Power control for random access message transmission is also implemented by the UE in some embodiments.
WAVEFORM-DEPENDENT RANDOM ACCESS CHANNEL PROCEDURE
Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an indication of at least one receive capability of a network access device; transmitting a first message of a random access channel (RACH) procedure; receiving a random access response (RAR) message in response to transmitting the first message; and interpreting the RAR message according to a format based at least in part on the received indication. A method for wireless communication at a network access device includes transmitting an indication of at least one receive capability of the network access device; receiving, from a UE, a first message of a RACH procedure; and transmitting a RAR message to the UE in response to receiving the first message. The RAR message has a format based at least in part on the at least one receive capability of the network access device.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING A CONTENTION-BASED PUSCH IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND A DEVICE THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting a contention-based PUSCH in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: configuring a CB grant; configuring a prohibit condition indicating that a data cannot be transmitted using the CB grant; receiving uplink data from an upper layer; checking whether the prohibit condition is met for the uplink data; and transmitting the uplink data using the CB grant if the prohibit condition is not met.
