BEAM FAILURE RECOVERY WITH UPLINK ANTENNA PANEL SELECTION
Disclosed is a user equipment (UE) configured to perform beam failure recovery with uplink antenna panel selection. In some embodiments, the UE determines a first UE antenna panel corresponding to a candidate beam detection (CBD) reference signal (RS); reports to a gNB a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ), the BFRQ including UE antenna panel information for the first UE antenna panel; and after receiving from the gNB a response to the BFRQ, changes from a second UE antenna panel to the first UE antenna panel and corresponding configuration for uplink transmission.
TERMINAL, BASE STATION, AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD
A terminal that includes a reception unit that receives a first SS/PBCH block based on information related to transmission of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block included in a radio resource control message, and receives a second SS/PBCH block based on information related to transmission of the second SS/PBCH block in a case where the information related to transmission of the second SS/PBCH block is included in the radio resource control message, and a control unit that, in a case where the second SS/PBCH block is received by the reception unit, selects a random access occasion in a contention free random access procedure based on the second SS/PBCH block.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BEAM FAILURE RECOVERY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system, such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for operating a terminal in wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, system information including at least one parameter associated a paging operation, and monitoring a paging occasion (PO) that is determined based on the at least one parameter, during a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation.
Collision handling of physical uplink shared channel transmissions in a two-step random access channel procedure
A method for handling a Message A physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission in a random access channel (RACH) procedure for use in fifth generation new radio (5G NR) wireless communication system includes determining that the Message A PUSCH transmission in a first step of a two-step RACH procedure overlaps with at least one other uplink physical channel transmission and transmitting at least one of the Message A PUSCH transmission or the at least one other uplink physical channel transmission in accordance with a priority rule.
Delay timer for data transmission in inactive state
A wireless device receives a system information block (SIB) comprising a value of a scheduling request (SR) delay timer. The wireless device receives, in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, an RRC message comprising a parameter indicating the SR delay timer is applied to a logical channel. The wireless device initiates a small data transmission (SDT) procedure in an RRC inactive state, wherein at least one radio bearer, associated with the logical channel, is configured for the SDT procedure. The wireless device, in response to triggering, during the SDT procedure, buffer status reporting (BSR) for the logical channel, start the SR delay timer based on the parameter indicating the SR delay timer is applied to the logical channel and the value of the SIB.
Delayed handover execution in wireless networks based on a trigger condition
A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from a serving cell based on the measurement report, a conditional reconfiguration message that includes a trigger condition and configuration information for handover to a target cell based on the trigger condition. The conditional reconfiguration message may be stored and the WTRU monitors trigger quantities of the serving cell and the target cell for the trigger condition being met. When the trigger condition is met within a validity period, then the WTRU applies the received configuration information and starts the handover to the target cell.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR PERFORMING PREAMBLE ASSIGNMENT FOR RANDOM ACCESS IN A TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
The present invention relates to methods and apparatuses (radio base station (120, 600) and UE (110, 700) for enabling a UE to perform a random access. According to embodiments of the present invention, an identification number of a dedicated random access preamble is, in a message, transmitted together with information indicating in which channel or channels the preamble is valid for the UE. The UE (110, 700) can then use the received information and based on that information perform a random access.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RANDOM ACCESS IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Methods, apparatuses and computer program provide for random access in a wireless communication system. A method implemented in a network device comprises receiving, from a terminal device, a signal for initiating an RA procedure of a first RA type, the signal including a preamble portion and an information portion. In response to successfully detecting the preamble portion of the signal, but failure in detection of the information portion of the signal, transmitting to the terminal device a first response indicating a successful detection of only a preamble portion of the signal, or a second response indicating an RA procedure of a second RA type different from the first RA type. The described technique may increase the reliability of a two-step RACH procedure and/or reduce consumption of time-frequency resources.
BEAM FAILURE RECOVERY REQUEST TRANSMISSION
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. A base station may transmit an indication of a type of a beam failure recovery request. A wireless device may detect a beam failure and transmit a beam failure recovery requested based on the type.
