Coexistence of different radio access technologies or services on a same carrier

A method of a user equipment (UE) operating with a new radio (NR) radio access technology (RAT). The method comprises receiving synchronization signals and a master information block (MIB) in a first bandwidth (BW) and receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a second BW, wherein the second BW is indicated by an offset in the MIB relative to the first BW and the PDCCH conveys a downlink control information (DCI) format that configures a reception of a first system information block (SIB).

COMMUNICATION NODE, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

Provided are a method of operating a communication system using physical layer division, the method comprises extracting an initial random access signal from an uplink signal, in a first physical layer of a first communication node of the communication system reducing a data amount of the extracted initial random access signal in the first physical layer and calculating a time synchronization error using the initial random access signal with a reduced amount of data, in a second physical layer of a second communication node of the communication system.

TIMING ADVANCE RANGE EXTENSION IN RANDOM ACCESS RESPONSE

A method may include sending, by a user equipment, a random access preamble message to a network element. The method may also include receiving an uplink grant in a random access response message in response to the random access preamble message. The method may further include adding an implicit timing advance offset to an uplink time domain resource allocation of the uplink grant to establish synchronization of radio transmissions between the user equipment and the network element. The method may also include transmitting a scheduled transmission message including the implicit timing advance offset to the network element. Further, the implicit timing advance offset may be added to the uplink time domain resource before the scheduled transmission message is transmitted.

Method and apparatus for communication in a network of WLAN overlapping basic service set

A method and apparatus for communication in a network of WLAN overlapping basic service set (OBSS) are disclosed. A station or an access point may indicate its interference reporting and inter-BSS coordination capabilities in a message. At least one of quality of service (QoS) settings, transmission opportunity (TXOP), restricted access window (RAW) or beacon subinterval schedules, or traffic indication map (TIM) or uplink access window assignment may be coordinated. The station may receive a request for interference measurements on the basic service set (BSS) of the station or neighboring BSSs that the station can overhear. The station may transmit an interference measurement report to an access point. The coordination may be performed based on the interference measurement report. Furthermore, STAs may transmit channel or sector preferences to APs and receive channel or sector assignments.

This application provides a communications method, which includes: performing, by a network device, LBT on a first carrier, and determining a time offset when the LBT is completed, where the first carrier is used to send a first SS Burst Set, and the time offset is a time offset of an actual transmission time of the first SS Burst Set on the first carrier relative to a configured transmission time of the first SS Burst Set; sending, by the network device, the time offset to a terminal; and receiving, by the terminal, the time offset, and performing rate matching on the first carrier based on the time offset. Thus, the terminal may determine the actual transmission time of the first SS Burst Set based on the time offset, to perform the rate matching and accurately parse downlink data, thereby improving reliability of a communications system.

Provided are a method and device for performing wireless communication in an unlicensed band. The method, for performing wireless communication in an unlicensed band by a terminal, may include: receiving configuration information relating to a synchronization signal block (SSB) burst set in an unlicensed band; receiving transmission interval information in which an SSB is transmitted in the SSB burst set on the basis of a listen-before-talk (LBT) result with respect to the unlicensed band; and detecting the SSB in the SSB burst set on the basis of the transmission interval information.

False base station detection based on time of arrival or timing advance

A base station determines a window of time for arrival of uplink signals, wherein the window of time includes a start based on a first expected time of arrival for a first uplink signal from a first UE and an end based on a second expected time of arrival for a second uplink signal from a second UE. The base station detection detects a false base station, such as a L1 man-in-the-middle false base station, based on an uplink signal being received outside of the determined window of time for the arrival of uplink signals.
