Paging Time Adjustment in a Wireless Network
A base station receives, from a wireless device, a requested international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) offset value for offsetting an IMSI of the wireless device. The base station sends, to a core network node, the requested IMSI offset value. The base station receives, from the core network node, an accepted IMSI offset value for offsetting the IMSI of the wireless device, wherein first paging occasions of the first PLMN are derived using an alternative IMSI determined based on a sum of the IMSI of the wireless device and the accepted IMSI offset value. The base station sends, to the wireless device, the accepted IMSI offset value.
MULTI-MODAL ENCRYPTED MESSAGING SYSTEM
A multi-modal encrypted messaging platform to provide HIPAA compliant messaging and interfaces to provide access to electronic data records. The proposed invention discloses example embodiments that comprise a server-system, a client device in communication with the server-system, and an auxiliary device coupled to the client device.
Schemes for SSB to paging coreset mapping in NR
The present invention relates to a user device, a base station, and data transmission and reception methods to be performed by a user device and a base station in a communications system. The user device comprises circuitry which, in operation, calculates the starting location of a paging region comprising resources in which user devices are paged, the paging region including paging information for paging said user device; and determines an offset with respect to the starting location of the paging region, the offset indicating the location of the paging information for paging said user device relative to the starting location of the paging region.
Techniques and apparatuses for co-operative traffic management
A person may utilize multiple connected devices, such as smart watches, user equipments (UEs), smartphones, tablet computers, and/or the like, which may each be assigned unique phone numbers. Operators may assign a common phone number to the multiple connected devices; however, the phone number is not used in the access stratum path of a radio access technology resulting in multiple paging procedures being performed for the multiple connected devices. In implementations, described herein, a first UE, such as a smartphone, may obtain paging information associated with decoding paging messages for a second UE, such as a smart watch. The first UE may use the paging information to decode a paging message of a combined paging cycle established for the first UE and the second UE, thereby obviating a need for multiple paging cycles for the first UE and the second UE.
MOBILITY MANAGEMENT ENTITY SUPPORT OF USER EQUIPMENT USING EXTENDED DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION AND POWER SAVING MODE
Systems and methods described herein provide improved access to wireless devices in Power Saving Mode (PSM) and extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) sleep. A mobility management entity (MME) receives a wake-up time request for a wireless device, wherein the wake-up time request includes a designated wake-up time for the wireless device to receive data services. The MME device stores the designated wake-up time when the designated wake-up time is after a current tracking area update (TAU) window for the wireless device and receives, after the storing, a TAU request for the wireless device. The MME device sends, in response to the TAU request, a TAU response that includes the designated wake-up time.
Mobility management entity support of user equipment using extended discontinuous reception and power saving mode
Systems and methods described herein provide improved access to wireless devices in Power Saving Mode (PSM) and extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) sleep. A mobility management entity (MME) receives a mobile-terminated (MT) short message service (SMS) paging request with a size parameter for a corresponding short message. The MME determines if the wireless device is sleeping in PSM or eDRX mode, and, if so, uses the size parameter to determine if criteria are met for local buffering by the MME. If local buffering criteria are met, the MME locally buffers the short message until a next wireless device wake-up time. The MME also receives and processes requests to implement non-standard wake-up times for individual wireless devices in PSM sleep.
Location Area Management Method and Device
A location area management method and a device, the location area management method including receiving, by a single radio controller, a first request message, where the first request message is used by user equipment UE to request a location update, generating, by the single radio controller, a paging area list of the UE according to the first request message, where the paging area list includes a location area identity of a location area of at least one network standard, adding, by the single radio controller, the paging area list of the UE to a first response message, and sending the first response message to the UE.
DISTRIBUTED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SUCH SYSTEM
A distributed communication system includes one or more sources configured to communicate one or more communications when triggered thereto; one or more communicators configured to receive communications from the sources, and to signal the received communications to one or more recipients; and a control device configured to track communications originating from the sources, wherein the sources are configured to include an identificator into each communication originating therefrom, and to transmit for each communication a message with the associated identificator to the control device, wherein the communicators are configured to transmit an acknowledgment to the control device regarding signaling of a received communication, including the identificator associated with the signaled communication, and wherein the control device is configured to track communications within the distributed communication system by means of received associated identificators and to raise an alarm condition upon non-arrival of associated communications at any of the communicators.
