Information processing apparatus, storage medium, and information processing system
An information processing apparatus connectable to one or more devices via a network. The apparatus includes a measuring unit measuring an inclination of the apparatus; a determining unit determining whether the inclination of the apparatus relative to a given surface of one of the one or more devices is within a predetermined inclination range; a receiving unit that receives radio waves; an obtaining unit obtaining identification information from the radio waves; a radio wave strength measuring unit measuring strength of the radio waves; a selection unit determining whether to select a given one of the one or more devices based on the strength of the radio waves; and a connection unit connecting the information processing apparatus to one of the one or more devices selected by the selection unit and for which the inclination of the apparatus is within the predetermined inclination range.
Radio network node, user equipment (UE), system and methods performed therein for handling communication in a wireless communication network
According to an embodiment herein a method performed by a radio network node for handling communication of data for a user equipment, UE, served in a service area associated with the radio network node in a wireless communication network is herein provided. The radio network node receives an indication from the UE, wherein the indication indicates a priority level for bandwidth allocation compared to other UEs. The radio network node further allocates a first bandwidth out of a total bandwidth to the UE for communication, wherein the first bandwidth is allocated in size based on the indication.
Detecting network coverage holes and selective client steering
During operation, an access point may determine, based at least in part on communication with the electronic device, that an electronic device is in a communication performance category. In response, the access point may provide one or more requests to one or more neighboring access points of the access point, where a given request is for an assessment of communication performance of the electronic device from a perspective of a given neighboring access point. Next, the access point may receive one or more reports associated with one or more neighboring access points with one or more assessments of the communication performance of the electronic device. When the one or more assessments indicate that superior communication performance is unavailable, the access point may provide a notification to a computer that indicates that the electronic device is in a coverage hole in a WLAN.
Method and apparatus for optimized OFDMA subcarrier allocation
A method of OFDMA subcarrier allocation for stations in a wireless network includes determining a total downlink buffered traffic load for downlink traffic from a gateway device to the stations, and receiving a total uplink buffered traffic load for uplink traffic from the stations to the gateway device. The method further includes determining a first ratio of total downlink buffered traffic load for each station in relation to total downlink buffered traffic load for all stations, determining a second ratio of total uplink buffered traffic load for each station in relation to total uplink buffered traffic load for all stations, performing OFDMA subcarrier allocation for the downlink traffic by assigning available channel bandwidth proportional to the first ratio for each station, and performing OFDMA subcarrier allocation for the uplink traffic by assigning available channel bandwidth proportional to the second ratio for each station.
Wireless earphones with hanger bars
A wireless earphone comprises a transceiver circuit for receiving streaming audio from a data source over a local ad hoc wireless network. When the data source and the earphone are out of range, they transition automatically to an infrastructure wireless network. If there is no common infrastructure wireless network for both the data source and the speakerphone set, the earphone connects to a host server via an available wireless network.
Distributed management of secure Wi-Fi network
Generally described, the presently disclosed technology utilizes managed Wi-Fi networks pre-installed throughout an MDU property to provide user-specific passphrases that can be used to access the single-SSID wireless network at the property and to provide a cloud portal that can enable convenient access to the functionalities (both by the resident and the manager) provided by the Wi-Fi controller and the Wi-Fi access points. By doing so, the Wi-Fi network management solutions described herein allow the users to experience the benefits of a shared Wi-Fi infrastructure, such as not having to set up and maintain their own Wi-Fi routers, while also allowing them to easily change their Wi-Fi settings from their connected devices.
Determine abnormal clock
An example device comprising: a processor to detect a time difference between a first system clock of an access point (AP) and a second system clock of a controller; determine whether the AP has abnormal dock based on the time difference; and automatically recover the first system clock of the AP when the AP has abnormal clock.

Devices and methods for multipath communications
Broadband communications devices and methods operate with at least two separate communication paths between the devices and the network, such as the Internet. The broadband devices and methods receive data concurrently over the communication paths or separately. The bandwidth is increased when the separate communication paths are combined. The broadband devices employ packetized data with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies combined with RF communications technologies.
Battery life of battery powered wireless devices
A method of reducing a power consumption of a wireless device according to one embodiment includes performing, by the wireless device, a calibration of wireless communication circuitry of the wireless device in response to establishing a wireless communication connection with a wireless access point, determining, by the wireless device, a number of disconnections between the wireless device and the wireless access point over a predefined period of time, and increasing, by the wireless device, a sleep interval of the wireless communication circuitry of the wireless device in response to determining the number of disconnections between the wireless device and the wireless access point over the predefined period of time is less than a threshold number of disconnections.
