System for wireless connectivity continuity and quality
Configurations are described for maintaining a continuity and quality of wireless signal connection between a mobile device and systems accessible through the internet. In particular, configurations are disclosed to address the challenge of a mobile device that moves through a physical environment wherein the best wireless connectivity performance is achieved by switching between available connection sources and constantly evaluating a primary connection with other available connections that may be switched in to become a new primary connection. The mobile device may be self-propelled or carried by some other mobilizing means.
AUTHENTICATION OF A 3G CELLULAR DEVICE OVER 4G MOBILE NETWORK
A customer premises node device can receive an authentication message from a fixed cellular communication device that operates according to a third-generation mobile network access standard (e.g., a 3G alarm panel). The customer premises node device can facilitate transmitting the authentication message, to a network node that operates according to a fourth-generation mobile network access standard. The authentication message can then be routed via mobile network components, including a network gateway device, to a home location registry device, which can authenticate the 3G fixed cellular communication device for communications on a 4G mobile network.
Apparatus, method and computer program for non-stand-alone wireless communications
An apparatus including control circuitry; first radio circuitry for communicating with a first radio circuitry of a first base station; second radio circuitry for communicating with second radio circuitry of a second base station; wherein the control circuitry is configured to use information received from a user equipment, for configuring the second radio circuitry of the apparatus such that a connection can be established between the second radio circuitry of the apparatus and the second radio circuitry of a base station.
Communications Method, Apparatus, and System
A communications method, apparatus, and system to implement handover between session management network elements, where a target session management network element sends a first message to a source session management network element based on the information about the source session management network element received. After receiving the first message from the target intermediate session management network element, the source session management network element indicates, based on the first message, a source intermediate user plane network element to establish a forwarding tunnel. As such, the forwarding tunnel between the source intermediate user plane network element and a target intermediate user plane network element is established, and the source intermediate user plane network element can forward data to the target intermediate user plane network element through the forwarding tunnel.
Enhanced Address Changing for Wireless Networking Systems
Methods, systems and apparatuses for performing an address change by an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) and non-AP MLD are described. A non-AP MLD may transmit to an AP MLD, using one or more respective transmission (TX) links in an active mode, one or more uplink frames that include one or more respective initial addresses corresponding to one or more respective reception (RX) links of the AP MLD. The non-AP MLD may then configure the one or more respective TX links to a lower power mode. The non-AP MLD may configure the one or more respective TX links with one or more respective new addresses prior to transitioning the one or more respective TX links back to the active mode. The non-AP MLD may transmit, to the AP MLD, one or more additional uplink frames that include the one or more respective new addresses.
Time division duplex wireless network and associated method using connection modulation groups
A wireless network is provided that includes a base station and subscriber stations that communicate with the base station using radio frequency (RF) time division duplex (TDD) signaling. The base station may establish medium access control (MAC) connections with each station. The base station monitors communications with the stations and, in accordance, assigns stations or MAC connections to modulation groups. The base station transmits signals on MAC connections or to stations in a modulation group in adjacent TDD slots within a TDD frame. The base station may receive access requests from the stations, evaluate traffic requirements for the stations, and determine a longest downlink portion for the stations. The base station then allocates downlink and uplink portions of a TDD frame according to the length of the longest downlink portion.
Method and apparatus for discovering neighborhood awareness networking devices based on presence
A method and apparatus includes a communication device monitoring for an indication of presence with respect to the communication device. The method involves transmitting, when detecting the indication of presence, a first series of neighborhood awareness networking discovery beacon frames having a first interframe time interval. The method further involves transmitting, when not detecting the indication of presence, a second series of neighborhood awareness networking discovery beacon frames having a second interframe time interval that is longer than the first interframe time interval.
Wireless pairing system and method
A wireless pairing system includes an emitting terminal and a receiving terminal, the emitting terminal includes an emitting terminal storage unit, a traversal unit, a coupling unit, an emitting terminal wireless transceiver and a capacitor unit. The receiving terminal includes an electrical pulse signal sender, a receiving terminal storage unit, a detecting unit, a coupling receiver and a receiving terminal wireless transceiver. Matching/coupling mode of the emitting terminal is operated by selectively sending electrical pulse signals. That is the receiving terminal can receive matching requests from the emitting terminal last successively connected in priority to shorten pairing cycle, and to improve pairing efficiency between the emitting terminal and the receiving terminal; or the receiving terminal can receive a coupling request sent form any of emitting terminals detectable directly, so as to provide an optional pairing course with high witching efficiency.
ADAPTIVE NETWORK DISCOVERY SIGNALING
An apparatus and method for adaptive network discovery signaling. Information is collected in a database of events, such as the discovery of a new station. The event information (e.g., new station, antenna sectors, active links) is shared with a central coordinator, or other stations in the network. Based on events, at this or other stations, signal transmission forms are adapted, for example for transmitting the beacon signals and notification signals. Adaptations of signal transmission include changing how frequently signaling is performed, timing of signaling, adjusting beam width, and/or adjusting directionality.
Certificate-based techniques to securely onboard a radio interface unit
Presented herein are certificate-based techniques through which a Radio Interface Unit may be securely onboarded to a service provider network. In one example, a method is provided that includes obtaining, by a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, an address assignment request for the, wherein the address assignment request comprises a vendor device certificate, a signed nonce, a non-encrypted serial number for the RIU, a signed serial number for the RIU, and a vendor identifier; validating the vendor device certificate, the signed nonce, and the signed serial number for the RIU based on a vendor root certification authority certificate; validating the non-encrypted serial number for the RIU; and generating an address assignment response based on validating the non-encrypted serial number for the RIU, the vendor device certificate, the signed nonce, and the signed serial number for the RIU.
