Smartphone with integrated pager
A smartphone case includes an integrated pager processor and pager antenna. The pager processor interfaces with the smartphone via physical connection such as USB or a wireless connection such as Bluetooth. A battery embedded in the smartphone case powers the pager processor and may be shared with the smartphone via a physical connection. The pager processor may display messages via the smartphone or independently via a speaker embedded in the smartphone case. The smartphone may communicate with a paging source via a cellular network to confirm receipt of one or both of a pager signal or a cellular network signal so that the paging source may produce maps of where various communication methods are useable.
Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving random access preamble in wireless cellular communication system
Disclosed are a communication method for merging, with an IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service (for example, smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, security and safety-related services, and the like) on the basis of a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for supporting a reservation resource, and according to the present invention, a method for a base station in a communication system comprises a step of transmitting reservation resource-related information to a terminal, determining, on the basis of the reservation-related information, whether a first signal is mapped to the reservation resource and a resource, in which the first signal to be transmitted to the terminal is overlapped, and transmitting the first signal to the terminal on the basis of the determination.
Secondary Authentication of a User Equipment
A network node operates a Session Management Function (SMF) in a control plane of a core network of a wireless network. The network node authenticates a User Equipment (UE) with an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) server in a secondary authentication process that uses the SMF as an EAP authenticator. The EAP server is outside of the core network and the UE is separately authenticated with a further network node in the control plane of the core network via a primary authentication process. Authenticating the UE in the secondary authentication process comprises exchanging EAP messages between the SMF and the UE and between the SMF and the EAP server. The SMF authorizes a data session between the UE and the external network through a user plane of the core network based on the UE having successfully authenticated via both the primary authentication process and the secondary authentication process.
METHOD AND DEVICE IN UE AND BASE STATION FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
The disclosure provides a method and a device in a User Equipment (UE) and a base station for wireless communication. The UE first transmits a first radio signal, and then transmits a second radio signal; wherein the first radio signal includes M1 first radio sub-signal(s), and a first sequence is used for generating the first radio sub-signal; the second radio signal includes M2 second radio sub-signal(s), and a first bit block is used for generating the second radio sub-signal; the M1 is a positive integer, the M2 is a positive integer in a target set, and each element in the target set is a positive integer; and the target set is correlated with at least one of the M1 or the first sequence. The disclosure can save overheads caused by control information and improve spectrum efficiency of uplink transmission.
Message mapping via frequency and/or time indexing
This disclosure relates to techniques for supporting message mapping via time and/or frequency indexing. For example, these techniques may be applied to device-to-device wireless communication. For example, device to device discovery may use message mapping via frequency indexing. A portion of the payload of a message, such as a discovery message, may be offloaded to a frequency and/or time index. A receiving device may determine the offloaded portion of the payload based on the frequency and/or time (e.g., subcarrier and/or slot) used to transmit the message.
Terminal Synchronization Method and Terminal
A terminal synchronization method and a terminal relate to the communications field, where the terminal sends synchronization signals in a distributed manner by controlling a sequence for sending the synchronization signals such that terminals in a vehicle to vehicle communications system can have uniform timing. The method includes obtaining, by a terminal, a configurable transmission period for sending a first synchronization signal, and sending, by the terminal, the first synchronization signal based on the configurable transmission period.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BEAM SELECTION IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging an IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to an intelligent service (e.g., a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, a security and safety related service, or the like) on the basis of a 5G communication technology and an IoT related technology. A method and an apparatus for reselecting a beam and selecting a suitable beam to be camped on, by a terminal, in order to be provided with a service in a next generation mobile communication system operating on the basis of a beam.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING SLOT FORMAT OF USER EQUIPMENT IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND USER EQUIPMENT USING THE SAME
A method of determining a slot format in a wireless communication system, where the method is performed by a user equipment (UE) and includes: receiving, from a network, slot format information informing a first slot format for a plurality of normal symbols that are arranged within a period of time, wherein each of the plurality of normal symbols includes a normal cyclic prefix (CP). The method further includes: based on the received slot format information informing the first slot format, determining a second slot format for a plurality of extended symbols that are arranged within the period of time, wherein each of the plurality of extended symbols includes an extended CP.
MOBILE DEVICE ALTERNATE NETWORK CHANNELS
Various arrangements for managing network channels are presented. A backend system can receive data from one or more data sources. Based at least in part on the data received from the one or more data sources, a triggering event and a location related to the triggering event can be determined. Location data associated with the location related to the triggering event can be transmitted to a UAV and the UAV deployed. While the UAV is deployed at the location, the UAV can relay data between wireless devices, such as cellular phones, and a network access point, such as a cellular base station.
Terminal Device, Network Device, and Group Communication Method
A terminal device, a network device, and a group communication method, where the terminal device includes a receiver configured to receive a first message from a network device, where the first message includes at least one group service identifier, and one group service identifier corresponds to one group service, and receive, according to the received first message, a first group service corresponding to a first group service identifier of the terminal device.
