A control circuit for a vapor provision system includes a first controller with capability to control a first set of components in the vapor provision system; a second controller with capability to control a second set of components in the vapor provision system, at least one component in the second set being also in the first set; and a communication link between the first controller and the second controller by which at least one controller can monitor operation of the other controller; wherein one or both controllers is operable to, via the communication link, detect a fault with the capability of the other controller to control the at least one component and, in response, assume control of the at least one component.

An electronic cigarette includes a battery assembly, an atomizer assembly and a cigarette bottle assembly. An external thread electrode is located in one end of battery assembly. An internal thread electrode is located in one end of atomizer assembly. The battery assembly and the atomizer assembly are connected by the screwthread electrode. The cigarette bottle assembly is inserted into the other end of the atomizer assembly and both form a cigarette type or cigar type body.
Aerosol generating device and method of controlling the same
An aerosol generating device includes a first heater for heating a liquid composition accommodated in a liquid storage of a vaporizer, a puff sensor detecting a pressure change within the aerosol generating device, and a controller. The aerosol generating device may determine a puff pattern including a plurality of sections, based on a signal received from the puff sensor. In addition, the aerosol generating device may control an operation of the first heater, based on states of the plurality of sections.

A ceramic heater according to one aspect of the present invention has a cylindrical ceramic heater and an annular metal flange fitted around the ceramic heater. The invention relates to an instant tube heater (1) for heating flowing liquid comprising: a hollow heating tube (2) comprising a tubular flow passage (20) extending along a central axis (I) for heating liquid as it flows through it, an inlet connector (3) sealingly connected to an inlet end (21) of the hollow heating tube, an outlet connector (4) sealingly connected to an outlet end (22) of the hollow heating tube, a temperature sensor (5) connected to the outlet connector (4) for sensing the temperature of liquid leaving the heating tube, wherein an inlet flow deviating member (6) is positioned locally at the inlet end (21) of the heating tube (2) for forcing the flow of liquid entering the tubular passage of the heating tube in at least one direction away from the direction of the central axis (I) of the tubular passage.
