An electric heater includes a substrate, an outer pattern part disposed on one surface of the substrate, an inner pattern part disposed on the one surface of the substrate so as to be located such that the outer pattern part surrounds the inner pattern part, and to be spaced apart from the outer pattern part. A pair of first electrodes is connected to the outer pattern part and a pair of second electrodes is connected to the inner pattern part and spaced apart from the pair of first electrodes, and the pair of second electrodes are located inside the outer pattern part.

A wafer placement table includes: a ceramic member having a wafer placement surface; a mesh electrode buried in the ceramic member; a conductive connection member in contact with the mesh electrode and exposed to outside from a surface of the ceramic member on the opposite side of the wafer placement surface; and an external current-carrying member joined to a surface of the connection member exposed to outside. A cooktop appliance and heating element, as provided herein may define a heating zone having a thermostat positioned therein. The thermostat may include a base, a bimetallic disk, and a conductive spring. The base may extend axially between a first end and a second end. The bimetallic disk may be disposed within the base. The conductive spring may be disposed within the base in biased engagement with the bimetallic disk to motivate the bimetallic disk towards the first end within the base. The conductive spring may include a first layer and a second layer. The first layer may extend from a contact end proximal to the bimetallic disk to a joinder end connected to the first terminal. The second layer may extend from a biasing end proximal to the bimetallic disk to a secured end fixed within the base.

A heating device in the form of a radiant heating device for a hob has a sheet-like support with a support top side, with at least one heating element on the support top side, which heating element is highly corrugated and runs in tracks in a laying pattern. The heating element has at least two heating conductor strips which each have lateral sides and a top edge and a bottom edge. These at least two heating conductor strips are placed together or placed on one another by way of their mutually facing lateral sides and are at least partially in contact. The at least two heating conductor strips are connected to one another in a fixed and non-detachable manner, advantageously before corrugation.

An electric heater includes a. substrate and an inner plane heating element formed on one surface of the substrate. The inner plane heating element includes an inner pattern portion connecting a start point with an end point. The inner pattern portion includes a first track, a second track located outside the first track and spaced part from the first track, a first bridge connecting the first track with one end of the second track, a third track located outside the second track and spaced apart from the second track, and a second bridge connecting the other end of the second track with the third track. A first gap G1 between the first and second tracks is shorter than a second gap G2 between the second and third tracks along a virtual line crossing the first, second and third tracks and closer to the first bridge than the second bridge.

A spring clip for attaching a radiant burner unit to a cooktop includes a retention tab having a portion extending in a first direction and a retention arm defining a lever portion projecting away from the retention tab to an end displaced from the tab in a second direction generally normal to the first direction. The retention arm further defines a resiliently deformable section facilitating movement of the lever toward and away from the retention tab. The spring clip further includes a snap tab positioned opposite the retention arm from the retention tab and resiliently deflectable toward and away from the retention tab.

A MEMS hotplate is used as a test substrate for characterizing a temperature-dependent fabrication process. According to a variant, an array of MEMS hotplates is used to provide multiple test substrates which can be simultaneously heated to different temperatures to provide multiple different temperature-dependent characterizations of the process.
