Radiant electric heater
A radiant electric heater having a dish-like support having a base layer of thermal insulation material. At least one heating element is supported relative to the base layer. A temperature-responsive device having a rod-like component is secured at one end at a peripheral region of the dish-like support and extends without support partly across the heater over the at least one heating element. A supporting member is provided at a free end region of the rod-like component. The supporting member comprises a central portion with a hoop at a first end to receive the free end of the rod-like component and a foot at a second end, the foot being bent at an angle relative to the central portion. A base of the dish-like support is provided with a loop of material extending internally of the dish-like support so as to provide an opening between the base of the dish-like support and the loop, the foot of the supporting member being received through the opening.
Electric heater and cooking appliance having same
An electric heater includes a substrate; and a first plane heating element disposed on one surface of the substrate, in which the first plane heating element includes a first track; a second track spaced apart from the first track; and a third track spaced apart from the second track. At least a portion of the second track is located between the first track and the third track, and the first track and the second track are connected by a first bridge, where the first bridge includes a first outer protrusion protruding toward the third track. The third track is formed with a curved portion which protrudes in an outward direction, and the first outer protrusion faces an inside of the curved portion in the outward direction and is spaced apart from the curved portion.
Induction heating type cooktop having improved use convenience
An induction heating type cooktop includes a case, a cover plate that is coupled to an upper end of the case and that includes an upper plate configured to seat an object on an upper surface of the upper plate, a working coil disposed in the case and configured to heat the object, a thin film attached on the upper plate, and a thermal insulating member disposed vertically between a lower surface of the upper plate and the working coil.
Electric heater
An electric heater includes a substrate, an inner pattern part, and an outer pattern part positioned outside the inner pattern part and spaced apart from the inner pattern part. The inner pattern part includes a plurality of inner tracks spaced apart from each other and a plurality of inner bridges that connect the plurality of inner tracks to each other in series. The outer pattern part includes a plurality of outer tracks spaced apart from each other and a plurality of outer bridges that connect the plurality of outer tracks to each other in series. A length of one or more of the plurality of inner tracks is longer than a length of each of the plurality of the outer tracks.
Electric heater and cooking appliance having same
An electric heater includes a substrate and a plane heating element disposed on one surface of the substrate. The plane heating element includes a first pattern portion including a start point and an end point, a second pattern portion that surrounds at least a portion of the first pattern portion and includes a start point and an end point, which are located at an innermost side of the second pattern portion, and a third pattern portion that surrounds at least a portion of the second pattern portion and includes a start point and the end point, which are located at an outermost side of the third pattern portion. The first pattern portion includes a plurality of first tracks that are space apart from each other and have an arc shape that is increasing in length from a center to an outermost side of the first pattern portion, the second pattern portion includes a plurality of second tracks spaced apart from each other and having an arc shape that is increasing in length from the innermost side to an outermost side of the second pattern portion, the third pattern portion includes a plurality of third tracks spaced apart from each other and having an arc shape that is increasing in length from an innermost side to the outermost side of the third portion, and a width of a third track is wider than a width of a first track.
Heating device for a hob, and hob
A heating device for a hob has a flat rectangular carrier with an outer edge, two heating elements which each have a heating conductor and which together form a heating area and which are fastened on the carrier, wherein each heating element defines a partial heating area, and the partial heating areas are situated inside the rectangular shape of the carrier. The heating elements and their partial heating areas can be operated independently of one another. The partial heating areas of the heating elements do not intersect. A first partial heating area is rectangular and extends, by way of at least one of its outer sides, to the outer edge of the carrier and runs parallel in relation to the outer edge. A second partial heating area covers the portion of the rest of the carrier which is left free by the first partial heating area. Various configurations of heated areas can be achieved owing to the independent operation.
TEMPERATURE MODULATION IN A COOKING APPARATUS
A heat modulating system includes a heat source, a temperature sensor proximate the heat source, and a controller in connection with the temperature sensor and the heat source. The controller modulates a rate of temperature increase of the heat source based on temperature detected by the temperature sensor, and at a temperature set point detected by the temperature sensor the controller modulates power to the heat source to help to prevent unintended autoignition of cooking oil.
Method and apparatus for controlling operation of range top coils for cooking
A range has burner coil elements which have temperature switches as a portion of the replaceable coils. Upon reaching a predetermined temperature, the switch opens and power through the burner element is secured. The burner elements are preferably open coil units. Lowering the temperature in a cooking utensil below common ignition temperatures while still allowing boiling is an objective of many embodiments.
HEATING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A HEATING DEVICE
A heating device in the form of a radiant heating device for a hob has a sheet-like support with a support top side, with at least one heating element on the support top side, which heating element is highly corrugated and runs in tracks in a laying pattern. The heating element has at least two heating conductor strips which each have lateral sides and a top edge and a bottom edge. These at least two heating conductor strips are placed together or placed on one another by way of their mutually facing lateral sides and are at least partially in contact. The at least two heating conductor strips are connected to one another in a fixed and non-detachable manner, advantageously before corrugation.
Dual coil electric heating element
An embodiment of an electric heating element is disclosed, including an electrically resistive inner heating element, an electrically resistive outer heating element, and a thermostat positioned along a cold leg of the inner heating element. The thermostat is configured to selectively allow electrical current to be delivered to the inner heating element while maximum electrical current, for example, continues to be provided to the outer heating element. The thermostat cycles the electrical current on and off when detecting maximum and minimum desired temperatures radiated from the electric heating element. The inner heating element has a pair of cold legs that extend parallel to a pair of cold legs of the outer heating element, some or all of which may be supported by a terminal bracket.
