HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE HAVING A TEMPERATURE DETECTOR
A household appliance includes a circuit component, a temperature detector embodied as an IR detector and configured to sense a temperature of the circuit component, and a control facility coupled to the temperature detector and configured to actuate the circuit component and to actuate the household appliance on the basis of temperature measurement data measured by the temperature detector.
Solid state radio frequency (SSRF) microwave oven for aircraft galley
A solid-state radio frequency (RF) microwave oven for an aircraft galley is dimensioned to fit the galley and includes within the oven cavity an array of RF modules disposed on the upper interior surface of the cavity. Each RF module includes one or more RF emitters programmable to heat meals placed within the oven cavity by emitting tunable RF signals. The RF modules may monitor the internal temperature and doneness of the food by detecting returned unabsorbed energy. An oven control module (OCM) may communicate with the aircraft galley network, selectively manage the activation and deactivation of RF modules depending on the food being cooked and its changing internal temperature, and tune emitted RF signals to avoid interference with aircraft communication systems. Compact heat sinks may be located within the rear of the oven cavity for the removal of excess energy from the oven.
Methods of controlling cooling in a microwave heating apparatus and apparatus thereof
A microwave heating apparatus and methods of controlling cooling of a microwave heating apparatus are provided. The microwave heating apparatus typically includes a microwave source for generating microwaves, a cooling unit for cooling the microwave source and a control unit. According to one embodiment, the control unit is configured to determine the efficiency of the microwave source and then to control the cooling based on the determined efficiency. The methods and the microwave heating apparatuses of the present invention are advantageous with respect to energy consumption.
Packing member and cooking apparatus having the same
A packing member having a structure capable of reliably extinguishing a fire generated in a cooking apparatus and a cooking apparatus having the packing member are provided. The packing member for packing components of a cooking apparatus includes a flange formed by bending at least one side thereof. The flange is provided to cover at least a portion of an inlet formed at one side of the cooking apparatus to allow external air to be introduced into the cooking apparatus when the packing member is received in the cooking apparatus or at least a portion of an outlet formed to allow air in the cooking apparatus to be discharged.
Cooking appliance cooling fan with optical speed sensor
An optical sensor is used in a cooling system of a cooking appliance to sense rotation of the cooling fan. For example, in one aspect a cooking appliance is disclosed as including a housing with a cooking enclosure and cooling passage for venting heat generated within the cooking enclosure; a cooling fan in fluid communication with the cooling passage in order to provide a directed airflow within the cooling passage; and an optical sensor to sense rotation of the cooling fan.
MICROWAVE OVEN HAVING DOOR WITH TRANSPARENT PANEL
A method of terminating power to a microwave oven having at least one surface with a transparent glass panel. The method comprises emitting microwave radiation into a cooking cavity of the microwave, monitoring resistance of a conductive coating on the at least one surface of a transparent glass panel with a circuit that measures sheet resistance of the conductive coating, and terminating power to the microwave oven when a change in resistance exceeds a threshold value.
VAPORIZATION DEVICE WITH ACTIVATION PROTECTION
An electronic vaporization device with activation protection is provided. The electronic vaporization device includes a heater for heating a vaporizable material and a compartment housing the vaporizable material, said compartment being thermally connected to the heater. The electronic vaporization device further includes a power source providing electric power to the heater, said electric power being converted to thermal power. The electronic vaporization device further includes two or more contact points disposed on the outside surface of the electronic vaporization device. The electric power is provided when the two or more contact points are physically connected to an object having a resistance within a predetermined range.
Microwave oven having door with transparent panel
A microwave oven includes a cooking cavity having an opening, a source of microwave radiation that transmits microwaves into the cooking cavity, a door positioned adjacent the opening and movable between an open position where the cooking cavity can be accessed through the opening and a closed position where the cooking cavity is inaccessible through the opening. The door further includes a transparent glass panel where the cooking cavity is viewable through the door when the door is in the closed position. The transparent glass panel has at least one surface with a measurable resistance across its surface. The microwave oven further has a circuit connected to the transparent glass panel that measures the sheet resistance of the transparent glass panel.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY
An apparatus for applying electromagnetic energy to an object in an energy application zone via at least one radiating element is disclosed. The apparatus may include at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to determine a value indicative of energy absorbable by the object at each of a plurality of frequencies and to cause the at least one radiating element to apply energy to the zone in at least a subset of the plurality of frequencies. Energy applied to the zone at each of the subset of frequencies may be a function of the absorbable energy value at each frequency.
METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM FOR REGULATING TEMPERATURE OF MAGNETRON, VARIABLE-FREQUENCY POWER SUPPLY, AND MICROWAVE APPARATUS
A method and device for regulating a temperature of a magnetron, a controller, a variable-frequency power supply, a system for regulating a temperature of a magnetron, and a microwave apparatus are provided. Wherein, the method for regulating the temperature of the magnetron includes: determining an anode current flowing through the magnetron or an input power of a variable-frequency power supply or an anode voltage applied to two ends of the magnetron, the input power or an output power of the variable-frequency power supply being configured to drive the magnetron to operate; regulating the output power of the variable-frequency power supply according to the anode current or the input power or the anode voltage.
