Adjustable lighting in a stereo-optical counting device based on ambient lighting
Techniques for adjusting a brightness of a field of view of a stereo-optical sensor device (e.g., of a system used to count individuals) are disclosed. According to an embodiment, the stereo-optical sensor device obtains, from a light sensor of the stereo-optical sensor device, a luminosity value of the field of view of the stereo-optical camera. The stereo-optical sensor device determines, as a function of the luminosity value, whether to adjust a brightness of one or more light sources. The stereo-optical sensor device adjusts, in response to the determination, the brightness of the one or more light sources.
Two-level LED security light with motion sensor
A method of configuring an LED light with a tunable diffused light color temperature is disclosed. The method comprises using a light-emitting unit configured with a first LED load emitting light with a low color temperature and a second LED load emitting light with a high color temperature electrically connected in parallel, using a light diffuser to cover the first LED load and the second LED load to create a diffused light with a diffused light color temperature, using two semiconductor switching devices working in conjunction with a controller to respectively control a first electric power delivered to the first LED load and a second electric power delivered to the second LED load to operate a color temperature tuning and switching scheme and using a first external control device to output at least one first external control signal to activate a selection of a diffused light color temperature.
Two-level LED security light with motion sensor
A technology for configuring a lifestyle LED light with a tunable light color temperature is disclosed. The technology of tuning the light color temperature is made possible by blending two LED loads emitting light with different color temperatures thru a light diffuser with an arrangement that a first electric power delivered to a first LED load emitting light with a low color temperature and a second electric power delivered to a second LED load emitting light with a high color temperature are reversely and complementarily adjusted for tuning a diffused light color temperature such that a total light intensity generated by the LED light is kept essentially unchanged.
Single-layer appliance indicator light with side-fire LED
An appliance includes a control console. The control console includes a console cover with a circuit board. A front surface of the circuit board is attached to an interior surface of the console cover. A capacitive touch sensor is in operative communication with a face surface of the console cover and an LED is on a back surface of the circuit board. A light guide is mounted on the circuit board and provides optical communication from the LED to the face surface of the console cover.

VEHICLE ILLUMINATION SYSTEM
A vehicle illumination system includes a road surface drawing lamp configured to draw, as a drawing on a road surface, predetermined information by emitting light toward a target comprising a ground, a wall or the like around a vehicle, an illuminance sensor capable of measuring an illuminance around the vehicle, and a lamp control unit configured to control the road surface drawing lamp. The lamp control unit is configured to control the road surface drawing lamp so that an illuminance of the drawing on the road surface is to be higher than the illuminance measured by the illuminance sensor.
LIGHT BEAM DIRECTION CONTROL DEVICE
A control circuit is configured to: change a dispersion state of the electrophoretic particles by controlling voltage across the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode to change a range of exit direction of light transmitted through the light transmissive regions and the dispersion medium; apply direct voltage at a first voltage value across the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode to change the range of exit direction from a narrow range to a wide range; measure luminance of light transmitted through the light beam direction control panel during application of the voltage at the first voltage value; and increase the voltage value to be applied across the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode in a case where the measured luminance of the transmitted light is lower than a target value.
Two-level LED security light with motion sensor
A two-level LED security light includes an LED load and a motion sensor. The LED load is activated at dusk and deactivated at dawn by a light sensing control unit. At night, the LED load is activated for performing a low level illumination to provide an evening aesthetic and a navigation capacity. When the motion sensor detects any intrusion, the LED load is switched from the low level illumination to a high level illumination for a short duration adjustable by a time setting unit and then returns to the low level illumination. The LED load is configured with one or a plurality of LEDs accommodating to a power source, wherein a voltage V across each LED is confined in a range V.sub.th<V<V.sub.max with V.sub.th being a threshold voltage to turn on the LED and V.sub.max a maximum voltage to avoid damaging the LED.

IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE CONFIGURED TO REGENERATE TIMESTAMP AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
An image processing device includes a vision sensor and a processor. The vision sensor generates a plurality of events in which an intensity of light changes and generates a plurality of timestamps depending on times when the events occur. In addition, the processor may regenerate a timestamp of a pixel where an abnormal event occurs, based on temporal correlation of the events.
