Cloud-connected off-grid lighting and video system
A cloud-connected off-grid lighting and video system may include one or more wireless lighting modules and a bridge device to transmit a video stream or images to external devices such as a remote device, a cellular phone, a home automation system, or a security system. The cloud-connected off-grid lighting and video system may operate over the cloud via an Internet connection allowing the bridge device to communicate with a server on the Internet that may implement software for the interface to capture data regarding activity detected by-the wireless lighting module.
Commissioning load control systems
A load control system may include load control devices for controlling power provided to an electrical load. The load control devices may include a control-source device and a control-target device. The control-target device may control the power provided to the electrical load based on digital messages received from the control-source device. A user device may discover load control devices when the load control devices are within an established range associated with the user device. The user device and the load control devices may communicate via a wireless communications module. The established range may be adjusted based on the configurable transmit power of the user device or the wireless communications module associated with the user device. A discovered control-target device may be associated with a control-source device to enable the control-target device to control the power provided to the electrical load based on digital messages received from the control-source device.

Disclosed is a dynamic visual effect enhancing system for a digital cinema which may comprise: a sound effect control module for controlling a speaker for producing sound effects according to a digital movie, an illumination light control module for performing illumination of an auditorium before and after the digital movie is played, a light source control module for dynamically controlling a light group according to the digital movie, and a server for storing the digital movie and for controlling the light source control module and the sound effect control module according to the digital movie, wherein the server is configured for controlling the light source control module, the sound effect control module, and the illumination light control module via a communication network. A corresponding control method can cooperate with a surround sound effect and can precisely exhibit corresponding visual effects in a particular scene of a movie.
SPACE SCORING FOR A LIGHTING NETWORK
The present disclosure relates to determining one or more of a space occupancy score, space energy score, and space efficiency score for a collection of lighting endpoints in a lighting network. The space occupancy score is indicative of how effective the occupancy groups are configured for a given space or the utilization level for a space. The space energy score is indicative of how much energy the collection of lighting endpoints use or will likely use based on their configurations, actual use, or a combination thereof. The space efficiency score is indicative of the overall efficiency associated with the collection of lighting endpoints based on both occupancy and energy related metrics.
KEYPAD WITH COLOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL AS A FUNCTION OF BRIGHTNESS AMONG SCENES AND THE MOMENTARY OR PERSISTENT OVERRIDE AND REPROGRAM OF A NATURAL SHOW AND METHOD THEREOF
An illumination system and method is provided for readily mapping a plurality of scenes along a dimcurve form a natural show for one or more groups of LED illumination devices. Mapping can be performed using a graphical user interface on a remote controller wirelessly linked to the illumination devices. A keypad is preferably configured for button control of changes to color temperature as a function of brightness along each of the various dimcurves for each of the various groups of illumination devices controlled by a corresponding keypad to allow momentary or persistent override and reprogram of the natural show. Modification to a scene further comprises modifications to scenes before and after the currently modified scene to provide a smoothing dimcurve modification. Global keypad can be used to control multiple zones arranged throughout a structure to switch between a natural show that emulates outdoor sunlight conditions to a panic show when an intruder is detected.
Use of software configurable luminaire in parking application
A plurality of networked lighting devices are deployed in a parking garage. The lighting devices each have a display, a controllable general illumination light source, and an occupancy sensor. When a user enters the parking garage in a vehicle, the display of lighting devices outputs directional arrows and communicates with other lighting devices to direct the user to a vacant parking space (e.g., displays green). In response to detecting that the vehicle has parked in a parking space, the display output is adjusted (e.g., displays red) and the general illumination light source is changed to a different lighting state. Hence, when the user pulls into the parking space, illumination lighting is activated to a brighter setting. The illumination lighting is adjusted to the brighter setting as the user approaches other lighting devices, for example, when approaching an elevator or later re-approaches the vehicle to provide a feeling of safety.
Lighting control method and device
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for controlling an illumination device, such as a light bulb, LED light, or the like. In one embodiment, a lighting control adapter is described, comprising a male base for physically attaching the lighting control adapter to a light fixture and for receiving power from the light fixture via a light switch connected to the light fixture, a female socket for receiving a base of an illumination device, a switching circuit for providing switchable power to the illumination device, and a processing circuit coupled to the switching circuit, for detecting one or more power toggles of the power received by the male base, and for controlling illumination of the illumination device based on the detection of one or more detected toggles.
Systems and methods for emergency egress and monitoring system
Various embodiments of the present technology may comprise a system disposed within a structure comprising a network of individually addressed devices for providing building safety, security, and operational efficiency. Each device in the network may comprise a microcontroller electrically connected to a communication module, at least one output module, and/or at least one sensor module. The sensor module may produce data corresponding to a particular sensed environmental condition within its vicinity and may transmit a signal to the microcontroller based on the data for processing to identify the particular sensed environmental condition. In various embodiments, the microcontroller may communicate with any number of addressable devices in the network to effect selective activation of output modules and/or sensor modules. In some embodiments, the microcontroller may communicate with remote systems external to the network, such as building operation systems, building fire suppressions systems, and first responder notification systems to appropriately respond to the particular sensed environmental condition.
