GLOBAL KEYPAD FOR LINKING THE CONTROL OF SHOWS AND BRIGHTNESS AMONG MULTIPLE ZONES ILLUMINATED BY LIGHT EMITTING DIODES ARRANGED AMONG A STRUCTURE

An illumination system and method is provided for readily mapping a plurality of scenes along a dimcurve form a natural show for one or more groups of LED illumination devices. Mapping can be performed using a graphical user interface on a remote controller wirelessly linked to the illumination devices. A keypad is preferably configured for button control of changes to color temperature as a function of brightness along each of the various dimcurves for each of the various groups of illumination devices controlled by a corresponding keypad to allow momentary or persistent override and reprogram of the natural show. Modification to a scene further comprises modifications to scenes before and after the currently modified scene to provide a smoothing dimcurve modification. Global keypad can be used to control multiple zones arranged throughout a structure to switch between a natural show that emulates outdoor sunlight conditions to a panic show when an intruder is detected.

ILLUMINATION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUALLY ADJUSTING AUTOMATED FADING OF COLOR TEMPERATURE CHANGES TO EMULATE EXTERIOR DAYLIGHT

An illumination device, system and method are provided herein for emulating sunlight along a daytime or nighttime locus. Sunlight is emulated depending on the path length of the sun relative to a structure containing the illumination device and system. One or more illumination devices can be grouped together and perform the sunlight emulation along the locus by producing different color temperatures throughout the day by all illumination devices within that group producing the same color temperature changes throughout the day. Moreover, a particular advantage of the preferred embodiments is the ability to manually change at any time the emulated natural sunlight output from the one or more groups of illumination devices and advantageously change the color output more so at certain times than at other times by simply actuating a trigger on a dimmer associated with a virtual or physical keypad.

Systems and Methods for Decorative Illumination

A rain gutter illumination system having a cover for attaching to a rain gutter with an aperture along the substantial length of the cover, and opposing recesses for retaining a decorative insert. When the decorative insert is inserted in the cover, it is held in place by the recesses, and a light source and optional diffusing panel may be arranged in the cover so that the light source projects light through the aperture of the illuminable surface. The light source may be remotely controllable using a wireless remote control device, such as a smart phone over a network connection.

Lighting control system and method with battery powered control devices

A lighting control system for operating lighting in a room is provided. The lighting control system may comprise a load controller, sensors, and battery powered lighting control devices, such as switches, dimmers, and/or keypads. The load controller is configured for controlling the operation of a lighting load in response to messages received from the lighting control devices and sensors over a wireless network. The battery operated lighting control device is configured for detecting a low battery level, transmitting a low battery message to the load controller, and entering into a low battery mode during which it ceases transmitting any messages to the load controller until the battery is replaced. In response to the low battery message received from at least one lighting control device, the load controller is configured for entering into a low battery mode during which it maintains the lighting load turned on. The load controller is configured for exiting the low battery mode and resuming normal operation upon receipt of a subsequent message from the at least one lighting control device.

A grow light fan is provided including a motorized housing, a fan assembly attached to the motorized housing and including a plurality of fan blades and a plurality of grow lights mounted on an underside of each fan blade. A controller is provided in the motorized housing and receives signals remotely, from a transmitter held by a user, to control the intensity of the grow lights and the speed and direction of the motor. A shroud and mounting bracket are also provided to secure and protect the grow light fan within a grow room.

OUT OF PLANE SENSOR OR EMITTER FOR COMMISSIONING LIGHTING DEVICES

Determining respective locations of lighting devices in a service area includes a sensing device that receives light signals emitted by a number of lighting devices that are configured in a common plane. The sensing device is located outside the common plane, e.g. below the plane of light outputs of fixture mounted in or below a ceiling. Respective distances between each lighting device and the sensing device are calculated based on the received light signals. The locations of the plurality of lighting devices relative to the sensing device are calculated based on the calculated distances using trilateration, triangulation or parallax. In other systems, each lighting device includes a sensing device and the light signals are emitted by a pendant or wall-mounted sensor located outside the common plane. In another system, the locations are determined by sensing devices in the lighting devices based on light reflected from objects in the service area.
