LED array member and integrated control module assembly with built-in switching converter
A LAM/ICM assembly comprises an integrated control module (ICM) and an LED array member (LAM). The ICM includes interconnect through which power from outside the assembly is received. In a first novel aspect, active circuitry is embedded in the ICM. In one example, the circuitry monitors LED operation, controls and supplies power to the LEDs, and communicates information into and out of the assembly. In a second novel aspect, a lighting system comprises an AC-to-DC converter and a LAM/ICM assembly. The AC-to-DC converter outputs a substantially constant current or voltage. The magnitude of the current or voltage is adjusted by a signal output from the LAM/ICM. In a third novel aspect, the ICM includes a built-in switching DC-to-DC converter. An AC-to-DC power supply supplies a roughly regulated supply voltage. The switching converter within the LAM/ICM receives the roughly regulated voltage and supplies a regulated LED drive current to its LEDs.
Semiconductor device
A main ceramic circuit board on which a semiconductor element is arranged is separate from a sub-ceramic circuit board on which a connection terminal is arranged. Accordingly, heat generated by the semiconductor element is conducted via the main ceramic circuit board and a base plate arranged thereunder and the sub-ceramic circuit board to the connection terminal. That is to say, it is difficult to conduct heat from the semiconductor element to the connection terminal, compared with a case where the connection terminal and the semiconductor element are arranged over the same ceramic circuit board.
MULTI-DIRECTION INSTALLATION PRACTICABLE LED LIGHTING POWER SOURCE LAMP BASE
This invention includes a base having open sides and an open bottom, a housing keeping a printed circuit board having an LED module thereon, and connected to a side of the base, and a base cover coupled to the lower portion of the base to fix the connection of the side of the base and the housing. According to this invention, it is possible to install a lamp including an LED module even without a specific skill in accordance with desired indoor illumination requirement, thus there is no need for unnecessary work for installing a housing for the LED lamp. Therefore, it is possible to remarkably reduce the cost for to installation and to install an LED lamp in accordance with desired indoor illumination requirements. Further, there is no need for installing a base on a ceiling, so an interior effect can be maximized and sufficient indoor illumination can be ensured.
A CIRCUIT BOARD SYSTEM
A circuit board system includes a circuit board having a base part (101) and at least one changeable part (102) furnished with at least one electrical component (103) such as a light emitting diode. The base part includes an aperture for receiving the changeable part so that a perpendicular of the changeable part is parallel with a perpendicular of the base part. The aperture is shaped to allow the position of the changeable part to be changed with respect to the base part when the changeable part is in the aperture, and edges of the aperture and the changeable part have mutually cooperative connection portions (105, 106) which allow the changeable part to be introduced on the aperture when the changeable part is in a first position and which limit freedom of the changeable part to get away from the aperture when the changeable part is in a second position.
Electronic package and method of forming an electronic package
Embodiments disclosed herein include modular electronics packages and methods of forming such packages. In an embodiment, the electronics package comprises a first connector module having a notch on a first end and a plurality of surface mount technology (SMT) pads on a second end. In an embodiment, the electronics package further comprises a second connector module having a keyed connector on a first end and a plurality of SMT pads on a second end. In an embodiment, the electronics package further comprises a system in package (SIP) module between the first connector module and the second connector module, the component module electrically and mechanically coupled to the SMT pads of the first connector and the SMT pads of the second connector.
PCB interconnect scheme for co-planar LED strips
LED board interconnect schemes for illuminable assemblies are provided. Multiple LED boards may form a partial perimeter along an illuminable assembly. The multiple LED boards and interconnects must fit within a limited width and height of the illuminable assembly. In some implementations, an interconnect board and spring connectors are used to provide a low-profile electrical interconnection while maintaining co-planarity of the LEDs across the LED boards.
Semiconductor module
A semiconductor module includes an insulating substrate having a main wiring layer, positive and negative electrode terminals adjacently arranged in a first direction, a plurality of semiconductor elements forming a first column and another plurality of semiconductor elements forming a second column, each semiconductor element having gate and source electrode on an upper surface thereof, and being disposed on the main wiring layer such that corresponding ones of the gate electrodes in the first and second columns face each other in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a control wiring substrate between the first and second columns and having gate and source wiring layers, a gate wiring member connecting ones of the gate electrodes in the first and second columns through the gate wiring layer, and a source wiring member connecting ones of the source electrodes in the first and second columns through the source wiring layer.
