An electronic unit includes an electrolytic capacitor, a covering resin layer, and electronic components. The electrolytic capacitor is on an upper surface of an insulating substrate. The covering resin layer covers the upper surface of the insulating substrate and the electronic components. Part of the covering resin layer serves as an electrolytic capacitor covering portion. The electrolytic capacitor covering portion includes an outer peripheral covering portion that covers an outer peripheral surface of the electrolytic capacitor and a top covering portion that covers a top portion of the electrolytic capacitor. A thin wall groove is formed in the top covering portion. The outer peripheral covering portion extends upward beyond the top covering portion by a height h. The top covering portion easily breaks at the thin wall groove so that an explosion-proof valve easily operates. A region corresponding to the height h creates an operating space of the explosion-proof valve.

PROTECTION DEVICE

A protection device including a first housing, a second housing, a power component, a protective cover and a circuit board is provided. The second housing and the first housing are assembled to each other to define an internal space. The power component is disposed on the second housing and located in the internal space. The protective cover covers the power component and is located in the internal space. The circuit board is disposed in the internal space, and the protective cover is located between the circuit board and the power component. At least one pin of the power component protrudes beyond the circuit board through the protective cover and the circuit board.

Such integrated selective electronic switch circuitry may be fashioned within a self-contained, inner pressure-isolating enclosure body. Such inner pressure-isolating enclosure body may be produced about the selective electronic switch circuitry such that the inner pressure-isolating enclosure body and switch circuitry are produced as a unit, which can be easily placed within a variety of bulkhead structures, and subsequently within a perforating gun.
