Storage card adapter with latch
Technology is provided for a storage card adapter. The storage card adapter is used for housing storage cards (e.g., M.2 storage cards), and the storage card adapter can then be inserted into a drive bay. The storage card adapter includes a latch system that, when engaged, brings together the cover and carrier frame of the storage card adapter such that at least 75 lbs. of compressive force is applied to thermal pads disposed on either side of storage cards housed within the storage card adapter. The storage card adapters can also include removable spring arms suitable for use in engaging the storage card adapter with a drive bay.
Solid state drive (SSD) housing and SSD housing assembly
A solid state drive (SSD) housing assembly includes an SSD housing and an extension frame. The SSD housing includes a first extension joint and a first mounting joint. The first mounting joint is a mechanism by which the housing can be mounted to an external device. The SSD housing has the form of a rectangular case in which an SSD module is held. The extension frame includes a second extension joint and a second mounting joint. The second mounting joint is a mechanism by which the frame can be mounted to the external device. The extension frame is attachable to and detachable from the SSD housing by virtue of the first extension joint and the second extension joint.
Printed circuit assemblies with an elongated cut-out
Examples herein relate to printed circuit assemblies (PCA's). In one example, a PCA comprises a printed circuit board (PCB) having an elongated cut-out, the cut-out defining a first and a second opposite elongated edges on the PCB, a movable bracket having a standoff established on a surface of the movable bracket, the movable bracket connecting to the first and the second opposite elongated edges and a platform connector established on the PCB.
Memory card adapter
A memory card adaptor may include a plurality of card-side terminals arranged to contact terminals of a memory card, a plurality of socket-side terminals arranged in a first direction to contact terminals of a host socket and including at least two socket-side ground terminals, wiring lines configured to electrically connect the plurality of card-side terminals to the plurality of socket-side terminals in a one-to-one correspondence, a ground frame configured to electrically connect the at least two socket-side ground terminals to each other, and a housing that accommodates the plurality of card-side terminals, the plurality of socket-side terminals, and the wiring lines. The memory card adaptor may have good electrical characteristics, and thus may be able to stably operate even during fast data transmission.
CFast Card Slot Breakout Cable
A CFast card slot breakout cable supports the connection of a host device, such as a video camera or computer, to an externally located SATA compatible storage device through the host device's CFast card slot. The breakout cable supports the expansion of existing CFast slots to connect to substantially larger and more cost-effective external digital storage than can be directly provided by CFast data storage cards. The breakout cable uses a card housing with the form factor of a CFast memory card and plugs into a CFast card slot to tap into the data and optionally power signals. The card housing acts as a regular CFast card for installation into a host device slot and passes some or all of the electrical connections from the CFast card slot through industry standard Serial ATA cables and connectors for use with industry standard Serial ATA storage devices.
Flashcard reader and converter for reading serial and parallel flashcards
A flash memory card reader and a single converter chip for reading both serial and parallel flash cards. The read has connectors for both serial and parallel data transfer flash memory cards. The reader has a single chip converter. The converter supports both serial I/O and parallel I/O. The serial I/O transfers data in multiple modes. Both single-bit and multi-bit serial data transfers modes are supported. The reader may have multiple slots, one have a connector for serial and one having a connector for parallel flash memory cards.
