A motor control unit (MCU) and methods of operating and assembling the same are provided. The MCU includes a housing enclosing a retractable stab assembly (RSA) having stabs attached thereto. The MCU further includes a bracket assembly having a mount for securing the bracket assembly to the RSA, guiderails for slideably engaging the RSA to facilitate the extending and retracting motion, and a lead screw accessible via an opening in the front of the housing. Rotating the lead screw causes the RSA to extend and retract which engages and disengages the stabs. The MCU also includes a motor assembly having a drive motor coupled to a drive shaft. The motor rotates the shaft in response to control signals from a remote-device. The motor assembly attaches to the housing such that the rotation of the shaft in response to the signals rotates the lead screw to engage and disengage the stabs.

According to one aspect, an apparatus includes a body and a toggle-interlock assembly. The body has an opening defined therein. The toggle-interlock assembly is coupled to the body, and includes a toggle portion and an interlock portion. The toggle-interlock assembly has a first configuration and a second configuration. When the toggle-interlock assembly is in a first configuration, the toggle portion physically blocks at least part of the opening while the interlock portion is stowed. When the toggle-interlock assembly is in a second configuration, the toggle portion does not physically block access to the opening while the interlock portion is in a deployed position that is arranged to prevent the apparatus from being inserted into a chassis.

Motor control centers have units or buckets with an extendable/retractable power connection (stab) assembly and one or more operating lever interlocks that include a unit latch to latch to a cabinet and a power connection position interlock that blocks the handle of the units or buckets based on position of the power connection assembly, optionally also including a shutter cam that slides a shutter right and left.

Rack mounting portion assembly

One or more racks in a rack computing system include shelving systems with mounting portions to receive computer systems in the mounting portion. The mounting portion can include an air flap structure that can restrict airflow through internal space of the mounting portion when a rack computer system is absent from the mounting portion. The air flap structure can retract to enable a computer system to be mounted in an internal space of the mounting portion. A mounting portion can include at least a portion of a backplane assembly that can be aligned to couple with a rack computer system mounted in the mounting portion to communicatively couple the rack computer system with one or more communication networks. The mounting portion can include an ejection mechanism that can eject an installed computer system from the mounting portion.

A detaching mechanism for a detachable module is provided. The detaching mechanism includes an engaging component and a driving component. The engaging component is for separately engaging with a positioning component. The engaging component is movable relatively to the detachable module along a first direction. The driving component is movable relatively to the detachable module along a second direction different from the first direction. When the driving component moves along the second direction, the driving component pushes the engaging component to move along the first direction, so as to drive the engaging component to disengage from the positioning component. An electronic device with the aforementioned detaching mechanism is also provided.
