Projecting portions of a housing are formed projecting from support portions toward the circuit board, and are inserted through penetration holes of the circuit board. Each projecting portion includes a plurality of divided pieces formed elastically deformable in a radial direction. The divided piece has a regulation portion that regulates movement in an insertion and removal direction of the circuit board between the regulation portion and the support portion.

Method of fitting soldering component to board

A soldering component and a method of fitting it to boards are introduced. The soldering component includes a body and a fitting portion. The fitting portion is fitted to an object. The body has an engaging portion with an elastic retraction space conducive to elastic retraction of two or more engagement portions, allowing the engagement portions to engage with another object. The soldering component has a weldable surface to be soldered to a weldable surface of the object. The weldable surface of the object has a built-in solder layer adapted to be heated for soldering the soldering component and the weldable surface of the object together. The soldering component is disposed in a carrier, taken out with a tool, compared with the object by a comparison device to determine a fitting position on the object, positioned at the fitting position with the tool, thereby being fitted to the object.

Between the head (106) and the mechanical interlocking feature (104), the body includes an integrally formed shoulder (108). A neck (110) is positioned between the shoulder (108) and the head (106) with a neck outer diameter that is less than a head outer diameter and a shoulder outer diameter.

DAUGHTER-CARD RETENTION SYSTEM
20230063765 · 2023-03-02 ·

A circuit board fastening system consists of a two-piece assembly including an electrically conductive circuit board retainer for surface mounting and a flexible clip for retaining a daughter-card to the retainer. The clip is preferably made of a flexible polymer so that a band portion in the middle of the clip can be comfortably folded 180 degrees at a u-shaped bend. During assembly, an arrow-shaped barb at one end of the clip is inserted into a retain bore thereby resiliently securing the daughter-card to a retainer flange upon which the card is seated. At the opposite end of the clip, a notched aperture in the clip is affixed around a groove in the retainer flange. The resilience of the barb provides a residual clamping effect to the daughter-card that is tightly sandwiched between a broad planar portion of the clip and a top surface of the retainer flange.

ADAPTABLE SECURING DEVICES FOR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

Adaptable and/or adjustable securing devices are shown and disclosed. In one embodiment, the securing device includes a base and at least one elongate connector having opposed first and second longitudinal end portions. The first longitudinal end portion is pivotably connected to the base. The securing device additionally includes a coupler attached to, or formed with, the second longitudinal end portion, the coupler adapted to receive a fastener.

Substrate layered structure and interposer block

A substrate layered structure including a first circuit board; a second circuit board overlapping the first circuit board; and interposer blocks interposed between the first circuit board and the second circuit board and spaced apart from each other. Further, each corresponding interposer block includes a dielectric block body; a plurality of signal via holes passing through the dielectric block body and transferring signals between the first circuit board and the second circuit board; and a plurality of signal pads arranged at first ends of the signal via holes and connected to the first circuit board and arranged at second ends of the signal via holes and connected to the second circuit board.

Lightweight electronic device for automotive applications and method

A lightweight radio/CD player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a case and frontal interface formed of polymer based material that is molded to provide details to accept audio devices such as playback mechanisms (if desired) and radio receivers, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case and frontal interface are of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen that has been pre-formed to contour with the molding operation. The wire mesh provides EMC, RFI, BCI and ESD shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. The major components and subassemblies self-interconnect by integral guide and connection features effecting “slide lock” and “snap lock” self-interconnection. The major components and subassemblies self-ground by establishing an interference fit with exposed, resilient, embossed portions of wire mesh.
