The disclosure provides a server including a housing, a plurality of hash boards, a power module and an electrical connection board. Each hash board is slidably arranged in a first accommodating space. The plurality of hash boards and the power module are respectively connected to the electrical connection board. The power module supplies power to the plurality of hash boards through the electrical connection board. The electrical connection board includes two conductive connection boards, each of which is provided with a plurality of conductive pins. The pins form multiple pairs of conductive pins in one-to-one correspondence. Each pair of conductive pins corresponds to each hash board and is electrically connected to supply power to the hash board. Each pair of conductive pins is detachably matched with each hash board to connect or disconnect the power supply path of the hash board.

Disaggregated fault tolerant backplane

An apparatus and a method of use are disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises a disaggregated fault tolerant backplane having a front side and a back side with at least two daughter card slots configured on the front side and configured to receive slot fanout signals over the backplane. The apparatus further comprises at least two switch boards (SBs) configured to provide electrical power to the at least two daughter card slots and at least one main fanout board (MFB) configured to send and receive SB control signals to and from the at least two SBs. The at least one MFB connects to the backplane through at least one MFB connector configured on the back side of the backplane. In one embodiment, the MFB receives control signals from the daughter card slots and sends slot fanout signals to the daughter card slots.

A system includes a support frame residing within a region conforming to a 3.5-inch form-factor disk drive specification, and a plurality of data storage drives, wherein each data storage drive resides entirely within the region. Each data storage drive conforms to a 2.5-inch form-factor disk drive specification, is mounted on the support frame via at least one external mounting hole that is positioned on a surface of the data storage drive in conformance with the 2.5-inch form-factor disk drive specification, is communicatively coupled to a backplane via an electrical connection device, and the electrical connection device includes a flexible electrical connector that, when coupled to a first end of the data storage drive, does not extend beyond the region, and has a removal tab through which a removal force is exerted to urge the data storage drive away from the support frame.

CONTROLLER

A controller includes: a housing; a plurality of control boards accommodated in a plurality of slots formed in the housing, in a manner that the control boards are insertable into and removable from the slots; and a backboard provided inside the housing on an interior side with respect to a direction of insertion of the plurality of control boards, and connected to the plurality of control boards. Openings of the plurality of slots are configured to be different in shape or size from each other, and a cover configured to close the opening of the slot for insertion is provided on each of the plurality of control boards on a side opposite to a side close to the backboard. Each of the covers provided on the plurality of control boards has a shape or size corresponding to the opening of the slot into which the control board is inserted.

A removeable drive-plane board may include (1) keyhole openings that are configured to interlock with keyhole fasteners of a retaining member of a storage-system chassis, (2) storage-drive connectors, (3) a storage-system module connector, and (4) electrical interconnects that electrically couple the storage-drive connectors to the storage-system module connector. In some examples, the keyhole fasteners of the retaining member may be oriented downward relative to the storage-system chassis. SYSTEM FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION OF PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS AND BACKPLANES IN SERVER ENCLOSURE

Utilities (e.g., apparatuses, systems, methods, etc.) for reducing or eliminating gaps between the tips of male pins and the bottoms of corresponding female sockets of interfaced connectors (e.g., daughtercard and backplane connectors) of a computing module and a backplane of a server enclosure under a variety of differing mechanical tolerances in the lengths of the server enclosure and the computing module (e.g., along a dimension that is parallel to the longitudinal axes of the male pins and female sockets). The disclosed utilities allow for increased signal quality and data rates through interfaced connectors while reducing strain on the PCB, solder joints, and the like during the interfacing of the connectors.
