A rail mounting backplane assembly kit is provided and includes a backplane assembly, an engaging hook and a slot structure. The backplane assembly can be mounted on a rail and detachably assembled with a first cooperating backplane assembly or a second cooperating backplane assembly. The engaging hook is movably disposed on the backplane assembly. The engaging hook includes an operating portion, an engaging portion and a connecting portion connected between the operating portion and the engaging portion and received inside the backplane assembly. The operating portion and the engaging portion are exposed out of the backplane assembly. The engaging portion is for engaging with a cooperating slot structure on the first cooperating backplane assembly. The slot structure is formed on the backplane assembly and for engaging with a cooperating engaging hook on the second cooperating backplane assembly. Besides, a related rail mounting electronic device is also provided.

Interconneting electrical modules

Systems, methods, and modes for mechanically and electrically interconnecting a plurality of electrical modules mounted on a rail side by side via an interconnector. Each electrical module comprises a housing and at least one slotted port recessed in the housing having a plurality of electrical contact pins therein. The interconnector comprises a first portion and a second portion each having a plurality of electrical contact pads, wherein each contact pad in the first portion is electrically connected to respective one of the plurality of contract pads in the second portion. The interconnector is adapted to removably attach to the electrical modules by inserting the first and second portions into respective slotted ports in the electrical modules and thereby aligning and electrically connecting the contact pads of the interconnector with respective contact pins of the electrical modules.

Modularly assembled automation system

A modularly assembled automation system includes a main unit with a plug-in bus port connector, a plurality of modules each with a plug-in bus connector and a plug-in signal connector, a backplane bus board in a layered structure with bus conductor tracks, a motherboard on which a plurality of connector elements are arranged, wherein the plug-in signal connectors of the modules are arranged in the connector elements and the connector elements are in electrical contact with conductor tracks of the motherboard, the bus conductor tracks and the layered structure of the backplane bus board are configured such that a layer stack forming the bus conductor tracks and core material contains features necessary for maintaining signal integrity of the signals on the backplane bus board and thus, with respect to the signal integrity of the signals on the backplane bus board, this is arranged separately on the motherboard.
