The object of the invention is a distribution system with an electronic fuse terminal and at least one first series terminal, wherein the electronic fuse terminal and the at least one first series terminal are arranged immediately adjacent to one another on a mounting rail, and wherein the electronic fuse terminal and the at least one first series terminal each have at least one adjacent bridging member, wherein the electronic fuse terminal can be supplied with input voltage, with the electronic fuse terminal making at least one protected first output potential available, and wherein the protected first output potential is forwarded to the first series terminal by means of a first bridging plug to the first series terminal.
Multidrop make and break system
A multidrop system configured to be installed within a motor control center (MCC) of an industrial automation system includes a trunkline. The trunkline includes multiple multidrop make and break devices connected through a trunkline cable. Each of the multidrop make and break device includes a first network component, and a second network component. The first network component is configured to form a first subnet over the trunkline. The second network component is configured to couple a MCC withdrawable unit and form a second subnet over a branchline that connects one or more nodes within the MCC withdrawable unit. The multidrop make and break device is configured to couple the MCC withdrawable unit to, and decouple the MCC withdrawable unit from, the second network component without disrupting the first subnet.
HARDWARE ADAPTER DEVICE
Methods, devices, and systems for a hardware adapter device are described herein. One device includes housing, a plurality of printed circuit boards (PCBs) housed by the housing, where each of the plurality of PCBs include traces, and a switch to select a bus address corresponding to the hardware adapter device, where the housing receives an input/output (I/O) module such that the traces of the PCBs provide an electrical path from a wiring baseboard to the I/O module.
Controller and modular control system of an industrial automation system
A controller for an industrial automation system includes a main module having a housing, which can be fitted onto a DIN rail via a base, at least two printed circuit boards arranged in the housing, and a heat sink also arranged in the housing and connected with the base. One of the circuit boards is a backplane bus printed circuit board, which provides a backplane bus, and the other is a main printed circuit board. The heat sink is attached to at least one of the printed circuit board to cool its components.
Expansion module of programmable logic controller
An expansion module of a programmable logic controller is provided. The expansion module comprises a function body and an expansion base. The function body comprises a housing, a circuit board and a first connector. The circuit board is disposed in the housing. The first connector is connected with the circuit board and is partially exposed from the housing. The expansion base is detachably assembled with the function body and comprises a bracket and a three-way connector. The three-way connector is detachably disposed in the bracket and comprises three conducting terminals. The first conducting terminal and the second conducting terminal are at least partially exposed from the bracket. The third conducting terminal is configured to connect with the first connector. When there are plural expansion modules, two adjacent function bodies can be detachably assembled with each other, and two adjacent expansion bases can be detachably assembled with each other.
Modular bus system
A modular bus system including a support rail having a base and a longitudinal axis; at least one base module, mountable on the support rail, for electrical connection to at least one input/output functional module having a backplane printed circuit board with at least one group of at least two first electrical connectors connected thereto, for electrical connection to an electrical connector of an input/output functional module, the first electrical connectors of the group arranged one after the other along an imaginary line that extends perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the support rail and lie in a plane in which the base of the support rail is located or which is parallel to the base; at least one input/output functional module having an electrical connector and an electronic device for communication with the modular bus system, the electrical connector of the input/output functional module configured for electrical connection to one of the electrical connectors of the base module.
Coupling unit and industrial control system
A coupling unit for an industrial control system has two module connections for making electrical contact with control modules, a field connection for making electrical contact with an industrial field device, a data transmission medium for the transmission of communication data, and a signal transmission medium for the transmission of field signals. Each of the two module connections comprise electrical contact elements which form a communication signal region and a field signal region. Contact elements of the communication signal regions of each of the two module connections are connected in an electrically conductive manner to the data transmission medium, and contact elements of the field signal regions of each of the two module connections are connected to the field connection via the signal transmission medium.
