DRAG KNOB
20190230908 · 2019-08-01 ·

A drag knob for adjusting a drag force of a spinning reel includes a knob body, a screwable member and a rotation prevention member. The knob body includes a knob portion rotatable in a circumferential direction of the spool shaft, and an accommodating recess. The knob body protrudes forward in an axial direction and extends in a radial direction. The accommodating recess has a rearward opening in the axial direction of the spool shaft. The screwable member is disposed in the accommodating recess of the knob body and is screwed onto a front end of the spool shaft. The rotation prevention member is configured to prevent the screwable member from rotating relative to the knob body, has a width narrower than a width of the knob portion and protrudes from the screwable member in a same direction as an extending direction of the knob portion of the knob body.

LIVE LINER DRAG DEVICE

A drag device for use with a fishing reel is provided that allows an angler to switch between a main drag mode and a secondary drag mode. The main drag mode is traditionally used to provide drag when trying to reel in a fish, while the secondary drag mode is traditionally used to provide finely-tuned drag when fishing with live bait. The drag device preferably includes a lever member that, when engaged, causes the fishing reel to switch between the main drag mode and secondary drag mode, as well as adjust the drag force of the secondary drag.

A spool for a spinning reel is mountable on a spool shaft. The spool includes a spool body that rotates with respect to the spool shaft. The spool also includes a drag mechanism between the spool body and the spool shaft to apply a braking force against a rotation of the spool body. The spool further includes a radiator in the spool body and in contact with the drag mechanism. The radiator rotates with respect to one of the spool body or the spool shaft. The radiator does not rotate with respect to the other one of the spool body or the spool shaft.

In one embodiment, an intelligent fishing system is provided to enable more accurate fishing in different water types and conditions. The system includes a fishing rod having a reel, the reel comprising at least a portion of a fiber optic cable, and a first device connected at or near a first end of the fiber optic cable, the first device having a controller and at least one camera. The system further includes a fiber optic receiver located at or near the fishing rod, the fiber optic receiver coupled to a second end the fiber optic cable and configured to receive optical signals from the first device through the fiber optic cable. Further, the system includes and a processor operably coupled to the fiber optic receiver and to a display.

Quick brake adjust knob of fishing reel

A quick brake adjust knob, which is disposed on an axle of a fishing reel, includes a base disc, a passive member, an elastic member, a threaded member, an active member, and a panel disc. The passive member has a first arc slope gradually approaching the outside of the knob from a first staring end thereof to a first terminal end thereof and C-shaped with a breach where a first recess is provided. The active member has a first protrusion abutted against the first arc slope or accommodated in the first recess. The panel disc is fixed to the active member and rotatable relative to the base disc. The periphery of the panel disc is joined with the periphery of the base disc. Therefore, the quick brake adjust knob can quickly and precisely control the resistance of the fishing reel to stretch out the fishing wire.
