A solar powered VTU and systems and methods for the same are provided. A solar energy harvesting device and an energy storage device are electrically connected to an electronic display within a housing. A support extends between the housing and the solar energy harvesting device such that a bottom surface of the solar energy harvesting device is elevated directly above, and is spaced apart from, a top surface of the housing. The solar energy harvesting device has a first footprint, and the housing has a second footprint. The first footprint is larger than, and directly overlies, the second footprint.

Field serviceable and replaceable assembly

Field serviceable display assemblies are provided. Multiple side assemblies are mounted to a structural framework in a moveable manner, each including a channel located between a transparent layer and an electronic display, which is located behind the transparent layer. A fixed structure is positioned within a cavity located within the structural framework and between the side assemblies. The fixed structure remains stationary when the side assemblies are moved between a closed position where the cavity is enclosed, and an opened position where the fixed structure is exposed to facilitate direct access to electronic components located thereon.

Operating parameters of the assembly are automatically adjusted when the data indicates a difference in the measured at least one characteristic at the times, and when said difference exceeds a threshold value.

Electronic components for operating the display assembly and changing electric vehicles may be provided with the rear compartment.

Systems for forced air cooling of display assemblies are provided. An electronic display subassembly is located behind a cover and includes an interior channel. An open loop centrifugal fan is positioned at an intake or an exhaust and forces ambient air through an open loop pathway when activated. A closed loop airflow pathway encircles the electronic display subassembly. A closed loop centrifugal fan is positioned at a side channel and forces circulating gas through the closed loop airflow pathway. Electronic components for operating the display assembly are provided with the rear compartment.

Field customizable airflow systems, and methods related to the same, are provided. A housing for an electronic display subassembly includes an intake and an exhaust for ambient air. A communications box located above the electronic display subassembly includes one or more electronic components, a convection aperture plate with one or more apertures, an intake portion, an exhaust portion, and one or more fans which cause a flow of ambient air to be accepted at the intake portion, circulated through each of the apertures in the convection aperture plate, and exhausted through the exhaust portion when activated.
