Joining Element For A Housing
20240422922 · 2024-12-19 ·

A joining element for coupling two parts of a housing includes a first pair of resilient engagement elements for receiving a first part of the housing and a second pair of resilient engagement elements for receiving a second part of the housing to be coupled to the first part. The first pair of resilient engagement elements is configured to receive and engage with the first part of the housing by a first engagement force. The second pair of resilient engagement elements is configured to receive and engage with the second part of the housing by a second engagement force. Securing the second part by the second pair of resilient engagement elements causes an increase in the first engagement force on the first part.

A shield case that shields an electronic component, the shield case including: a shield frame configured to be fastened to a board so as to surround the electronic component mounted over a mount face of the board, and a spring, attached to the shield frame, including a flat face configure to closely adheres to the mount face by being pressed when the shield frame unit is fastened.

SPRING ENERGIZED SEALS AND RELATED METHODS

Seal assemblies with a seal body having an inside flange and an outside flange that are biased outwardly away from one another by a spring energizer, such as a canted coil spring or a V-spring. The seal assemblies further include EMI shielding by incorporating at least one spring energizer that provides at least part of a conductive path between a housing and a pin. The conductive path can alternatively be provided by two different spring energizers and optionally with a conductive strip or trace or via a conductive contact ring element. The present seal assemblies are usable in applications having the needle for both sealing and EMI shielding.

ELECTROMAGNETIC GASKETS FOR A CABLE CONNECTION

A gasket assembly structure including a frame which includes a front half and a back half joined together with a plurality of interlocking tabs located around a perimeter of the frame, defining a window, and an electromagnetic gasket, constrained between the front half and the back half of the frame; where the electromagnetic gasket lines an interior perimeter of the window and partially extends from the frame into the window, and a passageway through the window of the frame with boarders defined by the constrained electromagnetic gasket. A housing structure including a receptacle recessed within an opening on a front side of the housing, the receptacle is rigidly attached to the housing, and a gasket assembly recessed within the opening and located between the front side of the housing and the receptacle, where the gasket assembly is directly secured to the housing.

An electromagnetic shielding structure in one aspect of the present invention comprises one and more gripping members and a shielding case. The shielding case has a roof section and a plurality of side walls. The roof section comprises a polygonal panel that is shaped so as not to fit inside a 30 mm30 mm square region. The side walls comprise panels that are provided so as to hang from portions corresponding to part or entirety of some of sides of the polygonal roof, and each side wall is configured to contact the gripping member at a position within a predetermined distance from an edge of that side wall in a direction perpendicular to both a thickness direction of that side wall and a thickness direction of a printed circuit board.

An electrically conductive gasket for use with an electrical component, including an electrically conductive base defining a central opening therein for receiving a portion of an electrical component, a first row of spaced apart resilient conductive tabs arranged around the central opening, and a second row of spaced apart resilient conductive tabs arranged around the central opening, the first row being located inside the second row. The conductive tabs in the first and second rows of the spaced apart resilient conductive tabs extend outwardly from the conductive base and are configured to resiliently deflect when the gasket is compressed. The conductive tabs in the first and second rows of the spaced apart resilient conductive tabs are staggered relative to each other, such that in an edge view of the gasket, at least one conductive tab in one row partially overlaps at least one conductive tab in the other row.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR A DEFORMABLE EMI SHIELDING STRUCTURE
20250113471 · 2025-04-03 ·

A shielding structure and method for assembling a shielding structure for an electronic component. The shielding structure includes a core comprising an elastic material and at least a spring part of the core comprising an arch. The structure further includes an electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding material affixed to the core. The method for producing the shielding structure includes forming a core comprising an elastic material, wherein the core includes at least a spring part comprising one or more arches. The method further includes covering at least a part of the core in an EMI shielding material.

Closure mechanism for a measuring station

A closure mechanism for an electromagnetically sealed measuring station, which comprises a test chamber, a door for closing the test chamber, and an electromagnetic seal, which is fitted to a door frame of the test chamber. The door is moved initially in a linear manner away from the test chamber and after that pivoted in a rotating movement. The closure mechanism according to the invention then seals a measuring station electromagnetically if an electromagnetic seal is fitted in a peripheral groove in the doorframe of the test chamber, and the door provides a peripheral rebate, which engages in the groove in the doorframe.
