Star drag fishing reel
A fishing reel includes a spool having a spool shaft and designed to receive fishing line. The fishing reel further includes a spool gear coupled to the spool shaft to rotate with the spool shaft. The fishing reel further includes a drag gear to interface with the spool gear, a main shaft that rotates about a different axis than the spool shaft, and a main shaft bearing positioned about the main shaft. The fishing reel further includes a plurality of friction washers including at least one drag washer to interface with and rotate with the drag gear, and at least one shaft washer to interface with and rotate with the main shaft. At least one of the friction washers is positioned radially outward from the main shaft bearing and is free to rotate relative to the main shaft via the main shaft bearing.
DUAL-BEARING REEL
A dual-bearing reel is described. A clutch mechanism transmits and interrupts the rotational force of the reel handle to the reel spool. A clutch-operating member is movably supported by the reel body between a first position and a second position, and is biased toward the first position. A clutch control mechanism includes a clutch cam that rotates only in one direction each time the clutch-operating member moves from the first to the second position. The clutch control mechanism alternately switches the clutch mechanism to the transmitting state and the interrupting state by rotation of the clutch cam. A clutch return mechanism returns the clutch to the transmitting state by rotation of the handle when the clutch mechanism is in the interrupting state. A regulating member regulates operation of the clutch return mechanism when the clutch mechanism is in the interrupting state by movement of the clutch-operating member.
FISHING REEL INCLUDING VARIABLE BRAKE DISPLACEABLE IN AXIAL DIRECTION OF SPOOL AND MAGNET DISPLACEABLE PERPENDICULARLY TO AXIAL DIRECTION OF SPOOL
Provided is a fishing reel. A shaft extends therethrough the spool to be axially mounted on a reel body, and a fishing line is wound on the spool. A variable brake includes a facing portion provided in a circumferential direction of the spool, and is coupled to one end of the shaft to be movable forwards and backwards in an axial direction of the spool and is elastically supported toward the spool. Magnet holders are provided in a circumferential direction of the facing portion, coupled in a direction of an inner or outer circumferential surface of the facing portion to be movable forwards and backwards in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the spool, and include magnets mounted to form opposing surfaces with respect to the facing portion. A braking force control means for moving the magnet holders forwards and backwards.
FISHING REEL WITH CONCENTRIC DRIVELINE
A fishing rod assembly includes a rod and a reel assembly. The reel assembly includes a housing, a spool positioned within the housing, the spool configured to rotate about an axis to retrieve or let out a fishing line, a drive mechanism concentric with the axis, the drive mechanism configured to receive rotational kinetic energy from a user and drive the spool to take-up fishing line when a counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than a target torque, and a drag mechanism. The drag mechanism is drivable by the drive mechanism to (a) drive the spool to take-up the fishing line when the counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than the target torque or (b) provide a drag force to the spool when the counter-torque provided to the spool by the fishing line is less than the target torque.
FISHING REEL
In an aspect, provided is a fishing reel having a backplate that is mountable to a fishing rod and a spool rotatably mounted to the backplate. The spool has a circumferentially-extending line storage channel configured for storage of fishing line. The fishing reel includes a friction mechanism including at least one rotatable friction surface rotatable with the spool and engageable with a stationary friction surface during rotation of the spool relative to the backplate, and provides an actuator arm that is movable between first and second positions. In the first position, the actuator arm disables the friction mechanism to permit free rotation of the spool relative to the backplate, and in the second position, the actuator arm actuates the friction mechanism to cause frictional engagement between the rotatable friction surface and the stationary friction surface during rotation of the spool in a first rotational direction.
Baitcast reel spool having replaceable plate
Provided is a baitcast reel spool that provides a rotational braking force against a spool using a braking magnet to prevent backlash of the spool in casting, more particularly, to a baitcast reel spool having a replaceable plate, of which the plate that is attracted by a braking magnet can be easily, firmly, and safely attached to a side of the spool and can be easily detached so that a user can tune the reel by replacing the plate in accordance with his/her taste and necessity.
DUAL-BEARING REEL
A dual-bearing reel includes a first reel body, a second reel body, a spool, a brake mechanism, a regulating member, an operating lever and a nut member. The brake mechanism brakes rotation of the spool. The regulating member is attached to the first reel body. The regulating member regulates a braking force to be applied by the brake mechanism. The regulating member has a tubular shape. The regulating member includes a screw part and a flange part. The screw part is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the regulating member. The flange part extends outward from the outer peripheral surface in a radial direction. The operating lever is attached to the regulating member, and is disposed between the flange part and the first reel body. The nut member is disposed between the operating lever and the first reel body, and is screwed onto the screw part.
TRIPLE LEVER DRAG SYSTEM
A fishing reel with a lever drag mechanism is provided. A lever on the drag mechanism may be rotated forward or backward to engage or disengage the drag mechanism respectively. When the lever is rotated forward to engage the drag mechanism, a shaft may be pulled outwardly from the reel such that a plurality of drag washers are placed into contact with a plurality of drag plates. The drag washers may be coupled to a spool, and the drag plates may be coupled to a drag plate hub. As a result, when the drag mechanism is engaged, the drag washers may be frictionally coupled to the drag plates such that the spool is preferably coupled to the drag plate hub. When the drag mechanism is disengaged, the spool may rotate independently of the drag plate hub.
Brake mechanism of fishing reel
A brake mechanism of a fishing reel is provided. The fishing reel has a shaft and a gear. The brake mechanism includes a washer set, a tubular member, a brake adjusting device, a first stair portion and a spring member. The washer set includes a first driving washer sleeved at non-circular section of the shaft, and a first brake washer located between the first driving washer and the gear. The tubular member is movably disposed at non-circular section of the shaft and abutted against the washer set. The brake adjusting device is sleeved to the shaft, abutted against the tubular member, and includes a control member screwingly engaged to thread section of the shaft. The spring member is sleeved to the shaft and abutted against the first driving washer and first stair portion, respectively. Accordingly, the fishing reel not only brakes reliably, but also releases a brake status properly.
