PORTABLE THERMAL INSECT REPELLENT SYSTEM
An evaporator is provided, for use with a wicked reservoir containing a volatile liquid. The reservoir has a plurality of guide members disposed symmetrically around the wick and extending beyond the height of the wick. The evaporator features a base containing a battery, and a removable cover containing a heater. Attachment of the cover to the base is necessary to establish an electrical connection between the battery and the heater. The guide members fit into recesses in the cover only when the heater and wick are properly aligned, and the heater cannot make electrical connection with the battery unless the guide members and wick are properly aligned with the recesses and heater, respectively.
ANNULAR SUSTAINED RELEASE PREPARATION AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Provided is an annular sustained release preparation to be used by opening a center portion thereof, the preparation having a strength enough to avoid cleaving at a welded end portion. More specifically, provided is an annular sustained release preparation having at least two polymer tubes having both ends sealed and integrated by pressure-welding or at least one polymer tube and at least one polymer rod having both ends sealed and integrated by pressure-welding; and a sex pheromone liquid contained by at least one of the tubes or the tube; wherein an annular space can be formed by pulling the tubes or the tube and the rod apart from each other at a center portion therebetween, the central portion not having been pressure-welded; and an angle formed between a line connecting respective centers of diameters of the tubes welded to each other or the tube and the rod welded to each other and the pressure application direction is from 0 to 45.
Methods for emitting and refills for holding two or more compositions
A refill for holding at least two compositions comprises a container including a body and first and second compositions disposed within the body such that the first and second compositions are substantially separated and the second composition is disposed above the first composition. The refill further includes a tube disposed within the body of the container such that the tube contains the first and second compositions, wherein the tube has an inner diameter and an outer diameter. Still further, the refill includes a wick disposed within the tube, wherein the wick contains the first and second compositions and has a diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the tube to create a gap between the wick and the tube is smaller than the inner diameter of the tube to create a gap between the wick and the tube.
REPELLANT SYSTEM AND METHOD
An insect repellant system that provides volatized pest repellant at a radius to the system. The repellant system includes at least one housing with (i) a base and an upper housing removably joined to the base to define an inner region of the housing, (ii) a repellant reservoir having a wick extending upwardly through a neck of the reservoir that receives a repellant fluid that is transferred by the wick during operation of the insect repellant system, and (iii) an evaporator system having a heater element coupled to a support assembly. The upper housing includes at least one upper fluid outlet and the base including at least one inlet opening. In an installed position, the repellant reservoir is inserted into the inner region and the wick extends through the support assembly and into the heater element to volatize repellant fluid carried by the wick.
Fragrance delivery device, system, and method
A fragrance delivery device, system and method is provided, comprising a housing including a rupture device and an absorbent member receivable in the housing. The system further includes a cartridge insertable within the housing and containing a fragrance medium therein. The rupture device of the housing is engageable with the cartridge to release the fragrance medium from the cartridge into the housing. The absorbent member absorbs the fragrance medium and permeates a fragrance from the fragrance medium to an external environment.
Annular sustained release preparation and production method thereof
Provided is an annular sustained release preparation having at least two polymer tubes having both ends sealed and integrated by pressure-welding or at least one polymer tube and at least one polymer rod having both ends sealed and integrated by pressure-welding; and a sex pheromone liquid contained by at least one of the tubes or the tube; wherein an annular space can be formed by pulling the tubes or the tube and the rod apart from each other at a center portion therebetween, the central portion not having been pressure-welded; and an angle formed between a line connecting respective centers of diameters of the tubes welded to each other or the tube and the rod welded to each other and the pressure application direction is from 0 to 45.
Scenting Device Having Distance Markers
A scent dispensing apparatus having a spool engaged with a housing for dispensing a scented line upon the ground. The scented line is wound upon the spool which is positionable between a retracted position inside a cavity of the housing to a deployed position outside the housing where the spool can unwind the scented line.
Device for Evaporating a Volatile Fluid
An assembly for evaporating a volatile fluid is described, the assembly comprising a device and a refill which are detachable from one another:
wherein the device comprises a magnetic induction coil configured to operate with an alternating current passed therethrough at a frequency of between substantially 20 KHz to substantially 500 KHz and a volatile fluid transport means receiving area containing at least one piece of heat-conducting, non-magnetic metal foil and/or deposited heat-conducting, non-magnetic metal;
and wherein the refill comprises a reservoir for the volatile fluid, a volatile fluid transport means to draw the fluid from the reservoir, and at least one magnetic susceptor having a coercivity of substantially 50 ampere/metre (H.sub.c) to substantially 1500 ampere/metre (H.sub.c).arranged to heat the wick predominately by magnetic hysteresis when said alternating current is passed through the induction coil, wherein the refill is attached to the device such that at least one magnetic susceptor is at least partially located within the volatile fluid transport means receiving area. Refills, devices and methods of operation are also described.
VOLATILE MATERIAL DISPENSER
A volatile material dispenser includes a base, a stand assembly coupled with the base, a shroud, and a refill. The base houses a printed circuit board. The base defines a sidewall, and the base includes at least one button that projects from the sidewall of the base and a low voltage port. The shroud has a sidewall that has a lower edge that extends from an upper edge of the base. The shroud defines a chimney. The refill comprises a wick. The refill is removably coupled with the stand assembly. The at least one button is disposed about 180 degrees offset from the low voltage port.
Support for volatile substance-diffusing wicks
